Comments suggest Beijing does not back "all-weather" ally's calls for U.N. probe

The Chinese government said on Friday it was of the view that tensions along the Line of Control (LoC) were for India and Pakistan to resolve through dialogue, a day after Pakistan called for a United Nations probe into the recent incidents.
:azn:
The Chinese Foreign Ministry said the dispute was for both countries to resolve, appearing to suggest that it did not back "all-weather" ally Pakistan’s proposal for a U.N. probe, which India rejected on Thursday.

Asked if China agreed with Pakistan’s call for a U.N. probe into the killings across the LoC, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hong Lei said: “As a neighbour and friend of both India and Pakistan, we sincerely hope that the two countries properly and calmly resolve the dispute through dialogue and consultation, so as to maintain peace and stability in South Asia”. :pop:

“India and Pakistan are important countries in South Asia,” Mr. Hong said. “Relations between them are important to the peace, stability and prosperity of South Asia.”

best friend are those who does not incite to go for a war in this time and age---given when both are nuclear powers. For instance if china had backed up with Pakistan then Pakistan would go for war (suicide)....
I feel western powers want an indo Pak war by taking apparently Pakistan side (just my thought as they had on BBC posted a quoted article with 'title' India provoked Pakistan...

Give peace an unlimited chance. resolve the issue like Musharraf and Indian govt were doing...
