China is keen to sell its indigenously developed nuclear power reactors to India

I'm against importing any nuclear reactor from China.we've witnessed various problems whenever we've purchased power plant parts or other critical machineries.they're cheap alright, but those turbines and other parts got us into trouble as we couldn't produce electric if every now and then it breaks down, thus costing revenue more than what we saved by buying those..

India is a poorer than africa country yet speaking like the tone of millionaire. This is the true spirtis of india.

China should never sell any cost-effective product or solution to india, let it be keeping ripped off by west and japan. we don't need to make profit on india. actaully, our exports already earn more dolloars than what we need now.

niether do we want any worthless crap made in china, and as for your exports, soon time will come when all sensible countries will ban all kinds of import form china and prevent their people from being poisoned.

Chinas should never ever sell any nuclear reactors to India, for the money saved building one nuclear plant with 4 reactors using Chinese technology is enough to finance 15-20 top-notch 5th gen fighter jets。

The same logic goes for high-speed rails or any other infrastructures for that matter。

In short,China should refrain from investing in India, especially in fields that augument India's overall economic efficiency and competitiveness。

It is always a good idea and practice to make your competitors spend more money and time on projects of enduring and national importance。

India don't even need to consider Chinese reactors coz Chinese reactors are pathetically sub standard.

.
India should focus more on Thorium based reactors, there is huge buzz in scientific communities in US to to adopt Thorium based power generation for future nuclear power plants.

Yes, we are dirt poor, just fcuking move on now.

can I ask you something, why is it that in China we are fine, but when ever it reaches India or countries like it something goes wrong.

Have you consider that?

We are flexible on the rules, our own politicians however they are, are promoted base on what they have done, and they don't want to be persecuted to the fullest extent of the law, so they have limits on what they are willing to do.

Indians on the other hand have no such worries apparently.

So stop blaming us and look at yourself, if we are as bad as some of you, especially one member say we are, India should be the 2nd biggest economy and we should be whereever you are now.

Probably better vender support. For example, a broken turbine would be faster and cheaper to be fixed in China itself than other countries. So any China made damaged equipment would affect India more than China. If repair/maintenance could be done in India it would be a different matter. It is not that they machinery don't get broken in China, it is in the nature of machines to be broken. But China get different vendor support for its equipment (manufactured in China) than the other countries importing Chinese stuff. From the link you quoted:
"Chinese never believe in transferring technology and due to sudden failure of Chinese turbines, they have to be sent back to China for repairs, thereby causing huge shortage of power,"

In May, the apex body of power engineers in the country — All India Power Engineers Federation — had also shot a letter to the Union power minister informing that the old units of Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited at Panipat are performing well, while China-made new units are developing technical snags at Khedar and Yamunanagar plants.

Both the 300MW units of Yamunanagar plant remained closed for a long time during the last summer, while one 600MW unit of Khedar remained inoperable during summer season, causing a sudden shortfall of 1,200MW in the state. Both these plants were equipped with Chinese turbines. The state government had to send the turbines of Yamunanagar unit to China for repairs. Similarly, Durgapur power station of West Bengal had also remained shut for a long time due to snags in Chinese turbines.

If the snag could be repaired locally, it could have saved a lot of time and money - there by increasing faith in Chinese machinery.

what did you expect from indians, they can crash c-130, touted as one of the safest jet in the world, within two years of induction, hit their other fight jets onto the ground like flies, and land the submarine on the beach or sink them in the harbour. There is nothing Indians couldn't do in that regard.

So China should never sell any complex product to India, which will only affect our product reputation. Let them buy those super expensive west or japan product, at least they do not dare to blame west when problem happens.
