China, India troops set up rival camps in Himalayan desert: police

I don't understand, are they camped Indian side of ladakh or in Chinese territory? someone please answer

Because India-Tibet border has never been delineated in history.

India and china were never "neighbouring countries" in all history. But that changed when china occupied Tibet.

Till Tibet is resolved it will quite impossible to resolve the Ladakh-Tibet border (even though, Aksai chin is well within Ladakh.. and current LAC is basically intrusion of PLA into Ladakh in 1959).

The LAC is not demarkated .. it exists but very roughly.. on basis of physical troop presence.

Setting up a new "tent-position" is clearly a violation of agreements between India and china. Very likely it will be peacefully removed without a bullet being fired.

they camped Inside Indian territory, such face offs are common,

many times IA ended up other side of LAC, still Not even a single shot is fired when they see our patrol.

india wants to be at par with china but reality is quite different

ya they might hold larger equipments troops than us but that doesn't mean we would back off, didn't they think the same after 62 but what happened was totally different right....

India always tells everyone to 'bring it on', then when the country fights and defeat you, then you back off. Few years later you do the same saying 'we are ready this time'
Reminds me of that kid in school that does the same old schtick. You had your chance to prove yourself and you failed miserably. Just accept as a mature person and deal with it.

So u sneak attacked 10000 ill equipped indian soldiers 50 yrs back with 80000 troops of ur own,and then bragging about it?Feh.Why did u unilaterally withdraw then, maybe coz u understood once reinforcements arrrived and u no longer had surprise or 8:1 numbers advantage things were gonna get too hot?

We entered the war to repel Indian incursions, once we crushed that and sent the message, we had no reason to stay or do anything further. India got the message crystal clear.

Thats only ur point of view.Anyway defeating a surprised force of 10000 soldiers mostly equipped with bolt action rifles vs 80000 automatic rifle is hardly some great achievement. And that too at a cost.

 it was your country that was preparing to invade China. You can bet Indian soldiers were fully prepared. You bet big and got burnt like Nazi Germany and imperial Japan. We taught you severe lesson that you have never forgotten.

ha ha ha.Invading u?Too much CCP propaganda yet?India hadn't even modernized its forces from independence. There were only around 10000 scattered ill equipped soldiersa mostly armed with bolt action.303 rifles going up against automatic rifle holding pla troops.Hardly called an invasion force.
