on one hand threatening china through conducting the largest ever airforce exercises of indian history through mobilization of 1100 aircrafts near china border ... india is hopping to have best relation with china ... really ???

It is the Chinese who are asking for improvement in relations.

America has strong allies and peaceful neighbors which helps them to project power outside.
Now if china wants to take on US they need allies , military & economic allies.

More like they don't want India also to become an American ally.

India is the only country today with the ability to send troops into China.

Both India and China has defensive doctrine to each other. GaganShakti was aimed at pakistan for 5-6 days of war at max also avoiding Chinese force mobilization to help pakistan.

After all these meeting and all these talks and nice word between Chinese and Indian officials, everything will back to square one as usual once both return to their respective country. I don't see any attraction between China and India other that antagonism and competition. Only when India and China is facing the common threat or solve the territory dispute then some positive things could have happen, for now both play game at each other's back.

Unlike India, China and Pakistan has no dispute issue but face the common threat which cemented our relation, and we both become all weather friend because not China nor Pakistan poke their nose on each other internal affaire but showing sympathy and understand for each other internal problems, now with CPEC we will even bond our relation even more stronger since we will be interdependent economically.

China India real friendship is a farce or a chimera that can never be realized. Oil & water don't mix (except in a lab). Both the nations are embroiled in a territorial dispute. The distrust remains under the skin. China has leverage on few things over India viz; Amarnath Yatra and river hydro-graphic data types on which it has India on tenterhook.

China's CPEC investment in Pakistan collides big time with India's national interests. Then comes Chinese arms delivery to Pakistan; from submarine to missiles technology involving MIRV mechanism.

The India China friendship litmus test case is pending right now in Hong Kong wherein Mr. Nirav Modi (fugitive wanted by India) is traveling within Hong Kong and India has put up a request to extradite him. Nothing has happened for 10 days, nothing will happen either. Nirav Modi wont be arrested by Hong Kong authorities. If Nirav Modi is arrested by China/HK then I would have to believe on India/China (probable) tango. Other than that, it is a case of Khali Wali.

Then comes the much coveted NSG nod that India is eagerly waiting for to start (military) nuke trade, which it can not now. 1-2-3 agreement waiver is only for civil nuclear use.

India needs China's funds plus the technology, not the other way around. China is five times richer than India.
