As an aside, whether this is good for Pakistan or not, increased Chinese control of Balochistan is certainly not good for India because this will give China the excuse to have PLAN presence in the Arabian sea.

I don't believe that China would do anything behind Pakistan's back. If this news is indeed true, it would most likely be the result of the arrangement between Pakistani and Chinese government. The important thing is a calmer Baluchistan is in the best interest of both Pakistan and China, and the same can't be said for your eastern neighbor.
