BEIJING: China Friday hoped that all parties and sections in Pakistan could prioritize state and national interests, properly deal with their domestic affairs, maintain unity and stability, and keep focusing on the economic and social development.

“This is the internal affair of Pakistan. As a friendly neighbor, China hopes that all parties and sections in Pakistan can prioritize state and national interests, properly deal with their domestic affairs, maintain unity and stability, and keep focusing on the economic and social development,” Chinese Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson Lu Kang said while commenting on disqualification of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif by the Supreme Court ruling.

On the latest political situation in Pakistan, he said, “We have noted relevant reports” adding, the all-weather friendship between China and Pakistan has withstood the test of times.

Lu said, “We believe that the China-Pakistan strategic cooperative partnership will not be affected by the change of the situation inside Pakistan.”

“China stands ready to work with Pakistan to continue jointly building the Belt and Road and build a community of shared future, which serves the fundamental interests of the two countries and peoples and promotes peace and development of the region and beyond,” he added. – APP

Can someone who is more knowledgeable on Pakistan related matters tell me how big a role the military plays in politics within the country? I heard they play a huge part regarding internal affair in conjunction with the elected government, which actually gave me added confidence for the stability of the country.

the military runs the country so you need not be worried even a little bit about Nawas Sherief going away. The so called elected government simply puts on a brave face and specializes in enabling the military establishment have their way with Pakistani people and resources. Unlike China where the dictators are out side the military in the ccp, in Pakistan they are within the military

Military since 2008 is distancing itself from internal politics and a lot of state matters it's visible and this is also confirmed by some of the most anti army journos in Pakistan they only speak up when it comes to country's security both internal and external this isn't 1990's Pakistan now corruption is our biggest problem bigger than terrorism ever was and we're finally getting rid of the corrupt politicians so there's no need to worry Nawaz Sharif got 1.5 years to prove himself innocent but he failed terribly at it (confirming he earned the wealth through corruption) military wasn't involved in this case at all this is a start there's no need to worry and if you can than avoid these 2 PAK army obsessed retards these guys are so scared of PAK army they see PAK army's hand in everything so avoid the 2 retards above.
