China can help militarily but there are two objectives. First one is I also agree with Usa should not win. It would result in subjugation of Russia and further hurt alliances between Asian countries putting them at disadvantage. The second objective is blocking the spreading of conflict to other areas from Ukraine. It is equally as important.

Direct help would result in Usa provoking other countries that it has influence over such as European countries gaining their support and try starting a conflict in Taiwan for example.
