In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Antony said the total road network in the Tibet Autonomous Region was assessed to be 58,000 km in 2010, apart from five airfields becoming operational at Gongar, Pangta, Linchi, Hoping and Gar Gunsa there.

People ask questions during Lok sabha sessions and as a minister of defence he is bound to give reply to them.. Its not whining or anything, but doing his parliamentary duty as a minister in the house of people.

Mate if your going to get into legality then you should know that in terms of UN resolutions Pakistan is more in the wrong than India. According to the 1950 UN resolution Pakistan had to FIRST remove their troops/irregulars and then India would offer a PHASED military drawn down an hold a plebitse the fact Pakistan still holds a third (the less prosperous) of Kashmir means India has no reason to do anything.

And don't give me any of the their not Pakistani army but locals bs as it is a fact they were supported and some even were Pak army.

China also managed to educate almost all it's people, it managed to give it's people a semblance of healthcare (doctor:patient = 1:1083?, longevity, infant mortality), raced past India in railways (we had the largest rail network a not so long ago) etc etc etc etc(really long list). When will these questions come up in the lok sabha? I wonder why we compare military aspects and ignore what is really important for our people. Is it because if our ministers start comparing hdi and economic figures with china, they will have no where to hide their face. When will we make ourselves worthy of defending before spending on defence. Sad situation really.

We have no military buildup. Roads do not kill and railroads do not maim. Instead they bring peace and development. If India begins a unilaterial military buildup it may destabilize the region.

Roads and rail tracks to transport troops and weapons won't bring peace, just like building air and missile bases in Tibet, or ports and surveillance stations around Indias coasts won't. China started it and India is reacting on these actions!
We modernise airfields and infrastructure like you did, we place new fighter squads like you did, we build new air defense and surveillance alongside the borders and we place troops in that reagion as well.
In your situation we might did the same, because one must be very naive to not see the growth of Indias military, because sooner or later we will pose a threat to China. Chinese gov and forces already acknowledges it and risking trouble with India on a diplomatic level for now, might still be the better solution that just sit and wait. But that is the point, with our experience with you of the past, we won't just sit and wait either!
