As a realist, I'd say cooperation with China will be a win-win situation for the two countries.
But I fear it's a little late for that now.

Philippines must ask Japanese for ShinMaywa US-2 , Philippines considering all the islands it needs to patrol and monitor. The Amphibious US-2 is a logical choice. US-2 can also be weaponized accordingly.
