What's new

China exported the Mach-4 CM400 anti-ship missile to Pakistan

Are you sure, because this news say China already sell them to PAF:
http://weapon.huanqiu.com/cm_400akg_missile

Chance is small China test CM400AKG on FC-1 for another customer, since the only customer of FC-1 is PAF.

You can read the Project director JF-17 interview which is couple years old where he said CM-400 AKG is not operational in PAF inventory.

Just because something was tested in China doesnt mean automatically Pakistan has it as well

Which year? Years ago, CM-400 only has land-attack version, and later they put passive radar on them to make capable of anti-ships.

CM-400 is far far more advanced than india's bhramos whatever missile:

It travels much faster (Mach-4) and similar range (300km range limited by international pact, can be extended to much more), and much compactly design than bromos.

Each FC-1 can carry 2 CM-400 missiles, whilst the much heavier Su-30MKI can only carry a single bhramos whatever.

Pic is from 2014. 10-115 was in china back then. Block-2 weapon testing and integration was done on this platform.

Have you seen PAF JF-17 carrying CM-400 AKG missiles inside Pakistan ever ? Or PAF acknowledging that they have purchased CM-400 AKG ? No. So that answers your question

JF-17 test bed Images from China. they don't need Pakistani jets.

If this is case, why not making NMD missiles subsonic? why anti-ballastic missiles all have very high top speed?

The exact reason for high-speed is not just it give them for room to catch and take on ballastic missiles, but also more window of inteception to deal with them before it is too late.

Btw, hardly any missile defence system depend on "head-on" attack on predictable trajectory since advanced ballastic missiles, even during re-entry phase, can change its trajectory, so you need very high speed to adjust for your missiles to deal with it.
Compare ICBM'S speed which is above MACH 20 and compare it to ABM speed as far as i know that GMD interceptor speed is 7- 8 km per second which is well below of MACH-20 for interception of an ICBM, without the maneuverable warhead this speed is enough for interception

It is for PAF.

@pakistanipower Please research again CM-400AKG is also known as YJ-12 so you are wrong the missile is better and deadly than Brahmos. YJ-12 can also cruise as well.
As per WIKIPEDIA its develop from cy-400 short range BALLISTIC missiles sir and remember sir YJ-12 uses ramjet engine sir and whereas CM-400 uses solid fuel rocket motor @BHarwana :p:

CM-400AKG is the export variant of YJ-12. There is no difference in them other than controlled range.

you are confusing it with CM-302.

My Man, Go through all the JF-17 Information Pool thread. You will find the information about the 10-115 in china testing CM-400 AKG in 2014 when you were not even on this forum. I'm not making this stuff up like you. 10-115 was one of the PAF birds in china testing stuff for Pakistan. Just a hint for you to put you in the right direction

In a head on engagement where both missiles approach each other from any angel other than zero degrees (linear chase) intercepting missile's speed does not matter. what matter is the capability of the tracking system to be able to track and update the interceptor of coordinates and travel direction of the attacking missile.

Barak 8 is Mach 2 so it cannot intercept.
