What's new

China expands 5G network to over 1.15 million base stations, more than rest of the world combined

And you’ve never stepped foot there yet you know everything. Damn you’re dumb. I have honestly had enough of what you think, it’s clear you are just dumb.

Don’t waste your time. He just wants to hate, not learn.

Dont worry, i will never set a foot there. I dont want sponsor a regime like that.

It is not in Greece interest to use Huawei equipment. Infact its not in the interest of entire EU.

Greece joined the anti Huawei network

LOL and the CIA trolls two years ago were claiming how much more the west was dominating 5G rollout.

Then it was silence from those trolls here since they know they are wrong. Then they talked about coverage of density within small countries only.

Well the Greeks are very happy to take Chinese investments and money. So I guess this is all just your personal stance and good for you. It seems while you hold these opinions, Greek politicians hold very opposite opinions. Port in Athens cooperation with China and increased investments and loans over the years.

As for hyper corrupt one party dictatorship and circumstances like armenia and georgia? nah not really true at all. I don't see Armenian or Georgian tourists and international students spending billions overseas or their people enjoying the same literacy rates, infrastructure, employment rates and so on. Visit China and you'll know but you aren't interested in really truly opening your mind just spreading same old nonsense.

Chinese factories and working conditions are leagues above Armenian and Georgia. China's per capita GDP is twice those countries and this is with heavily devalued RMB. If RMB is properly valued, it would be many times higher but that would lower exports.

Comparing Armenia and Georgia to China is like comparing Somalia to Greece and saying Greek citizens live like Somalians. It can be said in the English language but it doesn't make it even remotely true.

Hyper corrupt? Also not true. Corruption exists in every country. But Chinese corruption is called the ultimate corruption by western losers lol. In fact the reason why Chinese people are on average much wealthier and growing in wealth is because of lower levels of corruption even if that exists of course.

One party dictatorship? Well you clearly do not understand China at all. China has local democratic systems in place. President is not a dictator. Congress has more power than president are you surprised? The People's Congress has a very complex system and structure that maybe one or two western academics actually really bothered to study and understand.

Where the west fails and loses is because it doesn't bother to understand reality. It believes in some things and runs with it. Reality and understanding it is more important than what people believe and what the ignorant ones say to each other. They are of relatively little consequence compared to what is true. For example one party dictatorship is such a loaded one. CCP cannot be compared to African one party dictatorships. The results are clear enough through decades of turbulent and different circumstances.

China is a one party state however. That is certainly true. And it's also true the state holds much more power over things than western ones. This is not good or bad in absolute terms. It depends. You don't like it, well they don't care lol Just guess you should say you're glad you're not a Chinese citizen and let them be them. You bitching about it like a little girl is just too funny and shows how butthurt you are about China.

We take the money, beside that we block China out.

We also joined the support for sanctions against chinese regime

Anti chinese sentiment is nowhere rising as fast as in Greece

Following Covid-19, this narrative no longer holds. First, the Greek public –including those working in the shipping industry- is more interested in real action and jobs.

Second, China’s attempt to present itself as a benefactor in the early times of the pandemic has translated negatively.

In April 2019, coverage in the Greek media monitored by Kapa Research, a local pollster, found that 44% of Greek respondents blamed China for the Covid-19 pandemic.

Public euphoria since the original 2016 Piraeus deal has been replaced with scepticism, if not outright opposition.

Many Sino-Greek business deals have been interrupted or cancelled, including a joint development around the Hellenikon airport, the sale of Ethniki Asfalistiki, Greece’s largest insurance company or the privatisation of Greece’s railway operator TrainOSE.

In all these cases, Chinese companies were left out. Wary of regional security issues with Turkey, Mitsotakis himself has realised how much Greece needs the United States and the EU, while China has little to offer in terms of security.

You are right, China's role in this regard for Greece is 0 . Greece just needs to follow the strong countries. When the following strongest becomes the second or third strongest, it needs to quickly stand in line to the first strongest, history shows that the price of standing in the wrong line is death.
Not every country can have a backbone and dignity like North Korea and Cuba. It's easy to submit to the strongest country, it's hard to not submit in front of the strongest country.
Actually we have nothing against Greece, including these perceptions you have about China. It's not a matter of Greece alone, much less you personally, but international reality is what it is. You and your country will be attacked and hurt by the hegemonic powers of the world if you don't think like you do now.

Freedom is so valuable that it really takes courage to dare to speak the truth in the face of international power. There are many countries in the world that sell out their sovereignty to maintain their existence, and there are many countries that sell out their sovereignty to get dog food. We don't say that a country is a developed country, so it has dignity and deserves respect. This is like saying that the life of a prostitute and a dog is the goal of human life pursuit.

It is honorable and respectable to be a human being and support yourself by your own labor and hard work, even if this will be mocked and vilified by dogs.

You seriously bring up North Korea and Cuba...😅

Cuba houses one of the largest US bases in the americas, is dirt poor and people escape on small boats to Florida. North Korea is a nightmarish dystopia, basicly the prime example how deep humanity can fall.

Yes, I'm serious. And I know you can't understand it.

It's normal to not understand. They are indeed poor, any country would be poor under that level of sanctions, including China and the US, Russia. Small countries like them deserve absolute respect for not succumbing to the world's power, and they represent the unyielding spirit of humanity.

Like I said before, giving in to the mighty is easy. It's easy to give up your dignity. Very often, when a small country gives up its dignity and some of its sovereignty, the big country will give some benefits, and you are a Greek, you should be no stranger to such deals.

Like I said before, giving in to the mighty is easy. It's easy to give up your dignity. Very often, small countries give up their dignity and some sovereignty, and the big countries will give some benefits, and some people in small countries should not be unfamiliar with this kind of deal. The ordinary people may not feel it, but those who work at the top of the government will have a clear feeling .

Like you said earlier, China's security role for Greece is 0. The easiest way to get China's role up in this regard is to sell your sovereignty to China or Russia, for example by allowing the stationing of troops and signing military cooperation treaties. Although China and Russia are not as powerful as the United States, but the ability to protect Greece from Turkish attacks is still there.

No, im in reality. China is a hyper corrupt one party dictarship, where the majority lives under circumstances like armenia or georgia. Thats a simple fact. There are no worker rights, salary is low and even most basic standards denied.

People get nonstop controlled and treated like insects. Individuality is basicly banned. When you dont agree with Xi, your social score drops until you cant even drive with the train anymore.

Chinese 5G tech was checked by experts here and they found multiple loopholes where data would nonstop be stolen by chinese officials. Sorry but i dont want Xi to check my mails.

As i said, i want a healthy distance to the chinese regime.

Interesting perspective. Do you get this perspective from BBC or did you get first hand account of people living in China?

North Korea is a absolute corrupted monarchy, an absolute perversion on the planet. There is nothing brave there. And i dont see dignity in praying to an overweight guy with ridicolous hairstyle like a god.

I dont watch BBC, i think BBC is not even aired in Greece. My view on China is based on what i see, how the system runs there. Only one party, repressive government ect plus what our teacher told us. She was 6 months in China.

we rather have 3G and be free than have 5G and have our data used by authorities

At least 13 phone firms hit by suspected Chinese hackers since 2019, say experts

Congrats living in Stone age then 😂 While Chinese people living in the future

I don't like Kim Jong Un either and think it is hereditary like the emperors of the past. But my emotions are irrelevant and irrelevant to the facts.
North Korea's politics have come to this point by their own historical process, every country is like that, every country has a different political system, there's nothing to blame for that.
I also see many positive aspects of North Korea, which of course I don't think you do, after all, you are in a different media and educational environment and naturally get different information.
North Korea, like China, has corruption, but definitely not in the way you think. It's the same in the West. People are very complex, and so are countries.
Speaking of corruption, from our experience as Chinese traveling around the world, most countries, including developed Western countries, are more corrupt than China, and this is reflected in many ways.
But at the same time I also want to defend corruption, corruption, in fact, is a biological problem, as long as the nature of human beings in pursuit of a better life is a kind of corruption, who does not want to do less high wages it,Who doesn't want a windfall, do not work to get money , who does not want to have a large number of houses for rent, every day to collect rent it. The nature of this pursuit is corruption, is the pursuit of getting far more than the reward for labor.

I read a lot of your description of China, I don't want to go against you, as a Chinese, I want to say that China is really good, good for living, good for business. China is big, has a lot of ethnic groups, a lot of cultures, the most variety of terrain and climate, and a wide variety of lifestyles, there is always one for you. But then again China is small and the world is big, so we Chinese travel around the world in huge numbers every year and are the biggest spenders on international travel.
