China dominates military and police sniper world cup

Holy crap. Did the Chinese engineers change the laws of physics to make that sniper rifle? I mean its a Frickin 5.8x42 mm round beating out 7.62x51 mm and .338 Magnum Lapuas.

5.8 sounds like an intresting caliber, .308 wing/7.62 nato is an intermediate sniper round usually deployed at 400- 600 yards acurately, and the .338 lapua depending on the grain size and grade of the caliber is specialized long range caliber to take shot that are 800-1000 yards +,

5.8 X 42 sounds more to me like a good round for shots upto 300-500 yards (usually police snipers do not shoot more that 150 yards for their targets in real life). It falls between the 0.223 and the 0.243 calibers, both are excellent varmint rounds for hunting

Whenever someone mentions varmint rounds I am reminded of this video.

Awww that is horrible, the worse part is, I think they've developed something similar for people. Blackwater/Xe has using a pressed powdered metal composite bullet that basically blows a chunk of a person off.

Interesting thing about it is that it is reported to be able to defeat body armour despite being relative break-upable.

I'd love to see the result if they had used the QBU-09 that has digitized fire control.
