I have already told him that India's civil marriage has been indirectly inspired by Islamic marriage law and if India's constitution writers had taken an educated interest into Islamic socio-economic laws and made their own derivations from them or even surpassed those by modern socialist laws, India wouldn't have had its many socio-economic troubles.
