evrybody knows usa wanted indian troops in afghanistan .in 1971 ur
mr. president nixon almost tried everything in order to stop us but in vain
.everybody knows our relation with ussr is good when ur gov was busy trying
to turn everybody into anti ussr.in cold war we refused to be non-alligned another initiative by ur gov.there are many more but for a while this is enough

time has changed a LOT since than.
In theses days there was Indra Gandhi who had guts to take decision quicker.
If us would have attacked at that time, Russia would have surely protected us.

BUT now, if there is any conflict, do you really think Russia would go on straight to war with the USA.

Russia was closer at that time with India than it is now!
today there war too many players, not only the USA and Russia.

So India should not expect any help, whether it's Russia or USA.

Buddy we are not saying that we are powerful as USA..But we are not in the boots of US as you said..We are giving you examples that we are independent in taking decisions to some extend other wise we could have seen Indian armed forces in Afghanistan and Iraq protecting US interests

we dont wait for russian help infact we didnt even knew the real scenario its later was informed tat russia stopped USA

and btw this afghanistan and iraq decision was not taken during indira gandhi regime and russia is always closer to us ,than america our relationship is growing still ther is no trust

and i never said we were powerfull like usa but boss of ourselves got it
