Photos of China’s military deployment to Lincang city has surfaced on Chinese social media. J-7 fighters were seen at Lincang airport and ground based air defense systems were spotted as well.

At the border town of Nansan, two Mi-17 helicopters arrived at a high school today and anti-aircraft artillery were spotted in fields surrounding the town.

J-7? seriously? now Myanmar air force will just have to repaint PLAAF, they will blend right in.:rofl::rofl:

i don't see it escalating, so this will be just a precautionary measure, but why J-7, why not J-10?

A regiment of J-11A had a ferrying-flight to Yunnan.
For defending Myanmar J-7 is enough. Short range and high flexibility. If we place J-10 or even J-11, the problem will seem more serious. Seems our govt is trying to de-escalate this incident.
