China denies visa to IAF officer, India cancels defence team visit

People directly affected are always the right choice...

There is a Proverb in Tamil Nadu, "You will not understand the intensity of diarrhea and vomiting until u got affected, you will not know the intensity by seeing someone else who had"..

so always the persons who are directly affected are the right choice to negotiate..

It was the right choice if you wanted the negotiations cancelled, and now they are.

. . .
India knew that by sending someone from a disputed area, the negotiations would be cancelled.

No problem. If you want confidence building measures or not, that's your own choice.
Can people of Arunchal pradesh not travel to china ??

Definitely confidence building measures with china a priority. In the Meantime we have the responsibility to build the confidence of the people of Arunachal also.

No one can settle an issue without the representatives of the people who are directly affected.

Indian military delegation to China suspended

New Delhi, Jan 6 (IBNS): An Indian military delegation to Beijing under a bilateral defence exchange programme was put on hold after China refused a visa to a senior air force officer from Arunachal Pradesh, media reports said on Friday.

Group Captain M Panging was part of the team that was to travel to Beijing on Jan 10 for a four-day defence exchange programme that was reciprocal to one undertaken by the Chinese last month and is part of the confidence building measures between the two South Asian rivals.

The reasons for his visa being rejected were not shared, media reports said.

The 30-member delegation, led by an Air Vice Marshal-rank officer, from the of the army, navy and air force were to spend time in Beijing, Nanjing and Shanghai.

According to media reports, the Indian government is trying to settle the issue with its China that lays claim over Arunachal Pradesh and has often denied visa to those hailing from the state despite protests by India.

Earlier in 2010, the then Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General B S Jaswal was denied a visa as he was serving in Jammu and Kashmir - a state that Pakistan has made claims over - leading to souring of bilateral relations and a suspension of all defence exchanges.

Jaswal too was to head a military delegation to China under the defence exchange programme.

The ice between the countries thawed after India sent a delegation under a Major General in June last year, since which two more visits have taken place place between the the two nuclear-armed neighbours.

Its obvious that China doesn't want a peaceful relationship with India. Enough of this bs, cut all the ties, sIgn a Military pact with America, Japan, South Korea, Republic of China and Australia, and get done and over with this.

HAHA
Go ahead, who cares? do they really need your help? how about say you are begging them for help?

lol``this little cat always thinks its a tiger`

India got nothing to offer other than a puppet status used by them to acheive little leverages when dealing with China.

either economically and technologically you've got nothing to offer, their economy is so dependent on China that they cant go to far to anger China. for example, in Beijing alone there are more than 200,000 S.Koreans living and working there.

Maybe they ran out of paper?? common guys, maybe mass manufacturing used up all the paper... even those for the visas!!:meeting:
on a serious note, its nothing unusual, its the arrogant chinese attitude again... :drag:
