China criticizes U.S. decision on Vietnam arms

Can you tell me the link between 2 acts above ?

Do you mean China feel free to bomb Vietnam anytime they want ?

Vietnam is nothing but backward country full of rice fields.
Overhyped and overrated country based on 2 wars which the Vietnamese didn't do anything (it was Soviets and Chinese fighting inside Vietnam against French and Americans due to Cold War politics).

That's why all the wars take place inside Vietnam.
Mere lab rats for the military-indusrial complex.

PLA can carpet bomb Vietnam and we would only lose a few military equipment which we can quickly rebuild. But Vietnam the country will be complete destroyed.

This statememt got me thinking.lool : 'Secondly, American's policy is not even-handed. While easing the embargo on Vietnam, America is maintaining its ban on arms sales to China, and limiting the export of other high-tech manufacturing," it said.'

Lool i thought china was very advanced and self sufficient? Why are they still pleading with the U.S to lift arms embargoes against china? They will love to purchase U.S weapons instead of backward soviet engines i suppose. :p:
Same with high tech manufacturing. They should stop whinning and crying. :cray: for the U.S/West we will never lift sanctions on them(well not until they have reached parity with us technologically.:P). I still find it funny to see chinese officials keep pleading/thinking we will ever lift the sanctions/embargo against them lool. Why will the U S of all country lift the sanctions and allow a rival to catch up even faster? Lool never gonna happen. An establish power will never allow or help a potential rival to take his position, instead it will use any means to curtail it.:agree:

So you have to rely in yourself/invest more in R n D to catch up, if you can't then just give up and stop whinning. :D

As for this news, its a welcome development, it will help vietnam get closer to the U.S and distance it fron russia weapons/influence, in a decade or so from now, im sure vietnam will be closer to the U.S than russia, once all the sanctions are lifted. Good luck to vietnam, and welcome to the club/winning side. :usflag::-)

Pretty sure China is getting all the technology from the hacking. No need to pay when you can get it for free.

China hacks and reverse engineers to build up the knowledge base and cut down the time China needs to catch up with the US technologically.

US spies, China spies. US has more technology to lose than China, so it benefits China in the long term. Which is why the US always complains about China taking US technology. Hopefully China ramps up the hacking and steals EVERYTHING from all the best US companies.

Why not, if you can do it and close the technological gap in the shortest amount of time, that's America's problem, not China's. :p:

China can build those weapons and sell them all over the world to places like Iran, Argentina, etc.

China is already exporting its air defence technology to Turkey (If they decide to buy it), so as China's military technology advances, it will export more weaponry all over the world. Two can play this game.

I'm disappointed in this post of you, my friend. I thought you understand the strategic PR mind game we play with our american friend

China should ease arms export restriction to Iran and Cuba in response.

US State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki.

(VOVworld) – The US has partially lifted its ban on the sale of lethal arms to Vietnam, reported the AP on Friday. The announcement came after talks between US Secretary of State John Kerry and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh in Washington on Thursday. State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters the US will now allow sales of lethal maritime security and surveillance equipment on a case-by-case basis. Psaki added that the US wants to expand security cooperation with Vietnam. The US imposed a ban on the sale of lethal arms to Vietnam in 1984.

where are the benefits to do that?
The USA partially stops the weapon ban on VN. Why we have to react to this diplomatic changs?
Just think about some facts, the millitary expenditure of VN was 2.4 billion dollars, how big can be this market?

With this expenditure our little superpower cannot afford any conflicts and rebuild the army. Invade Combodia and Laos again? They will surely banned by UN.

LOOOL WHAT?

That can't be right. Only $2.4 Billion?

u wont provide it for free! so its all depends on buyers capacity and ur quality ~!

Things can be worked out. China does loan out money and make countries buy from Chinese brands.

China exported its missile technology to Iran in the 1990's. China has much more advanced technology it can provide.

Chinese leadership always finds ways to make things work.

yes you can, but it's kinda tough with the budget you are working with :haha:

real countries have their own defense industry

don't mind. we upgrade our weapon step by step. Hi tech weapon's purchasing is cheaper .:D

their millitary expenditure is $2.4 bn, compared to their GDP, it is 2.3%. The protential of expenditure has already met the glass ceiling. The biggest problem of VN is the inflation not any countries.

Dont worry, they planned to export submarines to Taiwan, I think they have a huuuuuuuuuuuuge industry developing plan.
