Besides, I am not sure what the next president would do more than Obama has been doing already. He has sent warships, pushed for TPP, brought along/re-militarized some regional allies, placed cyber charges on China etc. It is not that he was a God-sent gift from the heart of Kenya raised in Jakarta and then in Chicago.

I don't know who really rules the USA, who decides the wars in that country? I dont know, in Russia is Putin, in China is Xi. And in USA...?.

I agree 100%. Obama is a war president and in no way peace-seeking or weak. He is super hawkish.

But Obama already has less than one-and-a-half year in office to complete the TPP and complete the Pivot to Asia initiative.

Wen Jiabao was a disaster.

I remember him always saying China needed Western liberal 'democracy', he was too busy begging the US to keep the value of China's bond holdings instead of investing that money in Silk Road projects, AIIB, etc.
He was also going to bailout Europe with hard earned Chinese money before there was strong resistance by Chinese public against it.

There was basically no reforms during Wen Jiabao's time to make China stronger.

Old geezer Wen Jiabao was too incompetent to do anything.

I agree. He sincerely tried to repair what the earlier president had broken while at the same time acting more hawkish than the earlier president. But too bad for him that the US had already lost a lot in terms of relative power. If Obama had been president in place of Clinton or even Bush first term, I guess he would considerably build up the US hegemony to a new level.

Anyways, their woes are our last concern.
