China confronts Indian navy vessel

Sure India is not deseperated to have a good relation with Russia, sure when Russia rise the price to 2.7 billions? of aircraft carrier, GOI just bend theirs knee in order to keep good relation with Russia. during 60's 70's India is on Soviet side, now India want to keep some distance of Russia and be closer with U.S because Russia is not longer the same U.S.S.R. event they dont explicitely express their concern but you can read their intention to allow Pakistan access to JF-17 engine to testify their unhappiness.

Even the cold war is over, India still dependant of U.S and Russia, if they show some sign of unhapiness, India will really in trouble, If Russia is unhappy they can stop providing spare parts to all russian military machines you possessed, for U.S they can sell Pakistan better weapons or altimately allie with China which your worst nightmare...India will be always squeeze in sanwitch between these two...so keep dream your independant of foreign pressure.

the fact that we got Russia to put the price down to 2.1 billion dollars? we needed a an aircraft carrier and it was the best choice for us there are issues mainly with spares situation but other than we are friends and besides how the hell does this relate to foreign pressure? we bought the aircraft carrier because we needed not because russia forced us to LOL get your facts straight

keep on day dreaming son whatever makes you feel good on the inside :) how are we dependent on USA? wtf!! LOL dude seriously?

we have European countries Israel and many more who line up to sell India weapons not just USA and Russia take for example the MMRCA competition 2 aircrafts left are French and multi national not Russian or American, we issued global tender for spares which is an example of us not putting up with Russian inconsistency to supply spares so that statement is untrue

USA selling last century weapons to Pakistan does not bother us and besides has the US sold any of its top of the line military equipment to Pakistan? no so quit making up BS and diverting the conversation, your theories of USA and Russia turning on India and USA supplying Pakistan its most capable weapons is in one word laughable USA and China allies? LOL dude are you high or something?

China is a true Super Power now, they have the confidence and the juice :china:

No. China has no "Juice". "Juice" is with India ;)

As for shupa powar - its simply a wannabe, a copycat if you may. An arrogant bully at best.

Why confront a foreign warship in International waters? Got an itch, eh?

I agree, China is not a "superpower". Not even close.

Though I do enjoy being scolded by Indians on how much of a "copycat" we are, despite ranking leagues ahead of India in every single Innovation Index.

Global Innovation Index - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The implication of course, being that India isn't even able to copy (let alone anything else)... since they are ranked so far behind even "copycat" China. :D

.
Due to that stupid stapled visa policy, India for the first time revoked the "one China" policy. Chinese arrogance managed to shoot her own foot.

These small games don't change the fact of the big vulnerability that China has in the Indian ocean and Malacca straits.

All the best in bypassing that. ;)

Actually, they just refused to "state" it in a joint-statement.

Diplomatic relations with the PRC, require recognition of the one-China policy. So to openly go against the one-China policy would require breaking diplomatic relations with the PRC.

The best path, would be for India to establish formal diplomatic recognition of Taiwan (including a full embassy)... and/or for India to officially declare that they support Tibetan independence, something which even the Dalai Lama refuses to state.

Good luck sir. :azn:

At this point, the words China and innovation don't really fit together in one sentence (or even a paragraph).

The high IQ Chinese don't figure in a single top innovation for the last several decades (or a thousand years).

Electronics, miniaturization, radio, TV, walkman, PC, laptop, planes, ipod, ipad, mobile technology, pharma.....

Take anything and they are just catching up.

agreed its because the old ***** in india give two hoots to innovations the young professionals come up with.....in china this doesnt happen, indians can innovate and so can the russians and they do this here in the US.

You are confusing blatant copying with innovation. Please to be referring the Oxford Dictionary or Merriam Webster's Dictionary for full explanation of what those words mean.

As for India, we are not programmed to blatantly copy. Sorry mate.

.
Sorry dude, India suck up with all especially Russia, U.S, you need them to counter China, by asking Russia not to sell engine to pakistan JF-17, if you didn't give Russia any good why they have to listen to you? so saying that India is independant is a joke...you still depend on Russia's good will...imagine if Russia turn it back and be on Pakistan side India will will be in deep trouble

And as for U.S, for now they need you more than you need them to counter China, but once hostility start between China and India, then India will bend and at knee to comply American's will in order to receive any political support or military aid...the last thing you want is U.S in Pakistan side. so you tell me India independant of "WHAT????"

you just imagine if 2 US CBG placed nearby china,................................................

may be pakistan knee down to china , but never india do that with US.

.
Here is the Global Innovation Index (2011):

China ranking this year increased by 14 places. And Hong Kong placed in the top five in the world.

Meanwhile, India went in completely the opposite direction.

Things start slow and then pick up their momentum.

As I said, all your wishes on this aspect will become true. We will have an embassy in Taiwan when the time comes, inshallah.

Till then, we will slowly increase our engagement with them, just enough. ;)

For Tibet, to start with a full autonomy suits us fine with full withdrawal by all those foreigners from across that desert.

When you can't really innovate, you take shelter in an index (that probably measures things like the numbers of papers published and things like that).

LOL buddy, we both know that the Indian government doesn't have the guts to do any of that, or they would have done it already.

Hell, even during the 1962 Sino-Indian war they refused to do either one (Tibet/Taiwan), and even when China was supposedly helping Pakistan with their nuclear weapons programme, they didn't do it either.

They didn't break diplomatic relations with Pakistan either after they accused them of being behind the 2008 Mumbai blasts.

Fast forward to the present... several rounds of stapled visas, PLA soldiers in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, etc etc.

So... in what situation WOULD they actually do it?

. .
