I was only talking about the differences of high tech, low reproducibility versus low tech, high reproducibility in war production. Nazi germany was just an example of where they went for high tech and low reproducibility, partly because their Nazi ideology insists that everything German had to be the best in the world no matter the practicability or cost.

Totally agree. The configurations, design, and emphasis of the J-20 implies that it is oriented towards strike.

It seems that Shenyang is involved in multiple air superiority fighter projects. Chengdu reportedly has the single-engine J-2X, but I doubt it's an air superiority fighter.
