Anyway China is a strong country no doubt, but conflict with India is the last thing it needs, unless they wish to derail their economy completely and endure another 'century of humiliation'. In the event of another border conflict i see a formal alliance being formed with friendly democratic powers, Japan, Australia and of course US to contain China. Does China want that?

We are not some postage stamp country who can't fight back. We are rapidly developing our nuclear triad and will in a couple of years have a significant force of canister mounted AGNI Vs and sea based deterrent in the form of K4 equipped SSBNs.
