Pakistani analysts (in Urdu tv shows) are saying that this maybe the last time that China is exercising it's Veto power to protect Pakistan WRT to Masood Azhar. Still a welcome help! But Mr. Azhar is so controversial even in Pakistan that a person of no less stature than the former President Musharraf himself is calling Azhar a 'terrorist'. Many Pakistani analyst agree with that but the fear is the radical elements' blow-back--sort of like the storm unleashed after the Lal Masjid operation in 2007. Pakistan has achieved peace through a long hard-fought struggle and immense sacrifices.

Pakistan must do something against the religious fanatics inside Pakistan but in a way that doesn't spark another major strife in the country. It will be VERY tricky but, I think, the current leadership is well placed for that, unlike Musharraf was in 2007.

As for India and China--Indians would be deluded to think that India could undermine CPEC in Pakistan, maneuver against China in South China Sea, have border skirmishes like Doklam and still expect China to not support Pakistan.
