Your Idea on nepal and bhutan signifies your ignorance, as if all of their life they wouldn need a closer sea port where they can do their own trade. About china, look at the map, burmese port is at the southmost point which one is closer ours or theirs? And i was also refering trade. Our economy and burmese economy isn't the same. Lastly on indias part. Do you have any idea what a deep sea port is? You have a large coastline. Myanmar also has it but so what? You are refering to a river project are you stupid?

If you bother to read about the river project you would have been known that it is a proposed route to cover some distance from Sitwee port to Mizoram border. But some people do not want to learn.

And transit route have been given to Nepal and Bhutan to fulfill their wish. Let us see how much they can contribute to your economy.

And to learn the distance of different Burma ports from China why do not use a map? First know the name of the ports and their capacity.

What river project in Myanmar ? Can you provide some sources to suppport your claim ?

The one I know about yet to see the light of the day. The port-rail-road projects are between BD and China. India is not a party in this deal.

* Kolkata port is not a deep sea port but proposed Sagardeep port is under Kolkata Port trust. Dhamara port by Tata and L&T joint venture is going to be operational next year.

That Sagar Deep port is badly needed for West Bengal and Calcutta. Building Haldia was a stupid step, why do we need another river based port when we already have one.

Oh so you don't need us anymore? Relieved to hear that! I will let Hasina aunty know on my next visit to BD so that she scraps ctg-tripura road/rail plans.

If Hasina aunty can offer us better price then we may as well choose BD over Mayanmer, sorry to disappoint you. It's all business you know, there should always be 2nd plan. Who knows if Khaleda khala and her Jamati friends come to power next time and continue their stupid policy of being an irritant!
