China and US in talks on code of conduct

You can never tell who will/would lose more in case of a confrontation. You will be attacking a strong nation, something which you have never experienced in near history. Besides, as the aggressive party (you are the one who is increasing spying activity, encircling China), you are more bound to make mistakes.
Har...They said the same thing about Iraq before Desert Storm, that Iraq is not Viet Nam where the US 'lost'.

We have no illusions about China's military capabilities. If anything, we are more aware of what China is doing than probably China is aware of US. But the bottom line remains: For at least the next 20-30 yrs, the PLA will lose in any fight against US.

.
china crying about U.S spying? da hell :o:
The P-8A was in international waters just like that spy ship you all sent to RIMPAC

w/e they agree on you can bet China will be the first one to break the terms. they are getting bolder and bolder by the day.

surprise your Maverick of a pilot didn't ram his plane into it just like the PLAN rams Vietnamese boats.

how bold.
destroying a multi-hundred dollar plane and killing 7 Americans in international water

you think there won't be consequences?
time to cut the dragons head off before it gets to full of it's self.

You gonna lead the charge on "cutting the dragon's head off"? Or are you just gonna eat some mac and cheese and fall asleep behind your computer monitor as usual? Thought so. :-)

.
First time I heard that. And first time seeing a Chinese mem used that to defend their actions too.
That was our official statement when confront by your propaganda.

And you be attacking a strong nation as well since the 50s. You are being aggressive and pushing the Asian nations to our side. Actions speak louder than words on why we are watching.

Man, US even can't bear the lose in Iraq & Afghanistan level after 2001. You don't have to pretend you can when US has a conflict with China or Russia. That is totally another level thing.

China hasn't fought a war since its fiasco with Vietnam so I'm not surprised they didn't do much.

How many nations has China pushed to your side -- nations that had not already been aligned strictly with yours? Japan? The Philippines? Vietnam?

Japan has never been a strategic partner after all. It is China's largest trade partner in the region. Still. That's what matters for our nations.

Vietnam and the Phil, China has territorial disputes with. Has very little to do with the US although you may be willing to take advantage of that. Territorial sovereignty trumps over a few disgruntled small powers.

Yet, you have managed to single-handedly push world's strongest nuclear power and second largest military power firmly to China's side. And China-Russia relations dwarf that of US-Viet and US-Phil relations both in depth and importance.

And Russia was, during Mr. Medvedev's rule, very willing to cooperate with you. Remember the button Mrs. Clinton pushed with then Russian President? That's how successful you are in strategy-making.

Does China make mistake? Of course, it does. There is always room for development. Other than China's internal dynamics, China counts of friends and foes to remind it of its shortcomings.

In terms of alliances, I'm sure China would prefer Russia over Vietnam and the Philippines any day. I fail to see how that's even a fair trade off and how Americans can spin that as some kind of diplomatic victory. I mean, c'mon. Would you rather be partnered with the world's largest country with the most nuclear weapons, a feared military, abundant natural resources and an intelligent, patriotic populace versus the world's two greatest producers of bananas and flip-flops. Not even fair.

Well Oldman seems convinced the US has gained a significant political win vs what China and Russia are "cooking" together.
The US hates Communists and the ruling party of the jungle is ....? Exactly my point  , i'd like to see just how close Vietnam can get to Uncle Sam. Who knows the US might start asking Vietnam to pick a side between Russia and US, tough choice  but i bet they remain neutral, so much for a close US-VN alliance.

If US can help VN to unify sub-Mekong region, then u know which side we will pick, right ? :pop:

. .
To beg the US for such feat means a colour revolution first
US could shake hand with Soviet to defeat German-JP, then US can shake hand with VN to enslave China, too.

And our humble request for VN-US alliance is to help VN unify sub-Mekong region :pop:

LMAO. If Vietnam is such a strong country, why can't you take over the Sub-Mekong region on your own? *Crickets Chirping*

And, you actually think the US would help Vietnam conquer...I mean "unify" other SE Asian countries? A US who went to war with Iraq because Iraq invaded the sovereign nation of Kuwait. Yet they'll help you conquer not one, but *several* sovereign nations in SE Asia. All the while, the basis of this so-called "VN-US alliance" of conquest is due to the threat of a China not bent on conquering anyone. Are you on some sort of medication? I'm not asking that to be facetious. I'm worried about you. Are. You. On. Drugs?

Surprising did you know that France and Germany were biggest trading partners before they went to war with each other in WW1 and WW2? Same for Britain and Germany.

Russia is definitely not going to get involved over China's disputes with most of the Asian nations over SCS.

But anyways good to know you admit that China makes mistakes.

Since people like to accuse U.S. of working with Islamic terrorists, should you be surprised we can easily be working with Communists especially that fought against China before, which invaded Vietnam in the first place?:coffee:

. .
who said I was talking about Iraq o_O
China whole history is built around war and conquering.
Just the same as ours :p:
We have 5,000 years of history and you got only like 200 years and the amount of war you involved is staggering, my friend.
