War pact, who the hell writes such trash? The worst thing is the idiot is literally designating an ally of the US, Pakistan, as an enemy. Has anyone told the state department?
Well, this seems at odds with Indian policy over the years.
Effectively, U.S. armed forces can operate out of Indian bases, and vice versa, on a simple basis.
You are right, this is NOT a "war" pact. But this so called "logistic" agreement sure has grave implications for Pakistan, China and Iran to be exact. If one review the content of this "logistic" agreement, india and US can share each other base and supply when they needed. Meaning, in case of an war with
Pakistan;
1) india can use US base in Bahrain. In such case, Saudis or Bahrain can not do much. India initiating attack from US base will complicate the situation because how Pakistan can attack an US base?
2) india will have endless supply of arms and ammunition from US base nearby (Bahrain, Diego Garcia etc.). india faced issue with ammunition supply during past war but this agreement will help india a great deal. Also, india increasingly inducting US made hardware in their inventory.
When india says this "logistic" agreement is not against Pakistan, Pakistan should know better on implications and raise issue and take measures. More importantly do through analysis first.
With these implications US imposed against Pakistan through this "logistic" agreement with india; how US fare as "ally of Pakistan" ?
China has different but similar set of implications. But with Chinese capability they have more resources to mitigate the issue.
BUT with change of Presidency in US,
Iran faces most immediate and gravest consequences from india -US defense logistic agreement a.k.a. LEMOA. US will be using indian base in case of war directed against Iran. india as usual trying to fool others using "deal is only China centric" and "only for refueling" etc. But reality during war are much different and there is no time to mitigate.
