China and India have agreed to end the stand-off in the Donglang area of both countries' border on Monday, the Times of India reported citing the Foreign Ministry.

"Expeditious disengagement of border personnel" has been agreed and is ongoing, said the statement.

So what is the deal behind this? India insists China to export Falun Gong to India?

Just the fact that China did not use military force to drive out the Indians means China has lost this confrontation.

This is the least destructive solution for them, they cant afford a war with China now with their current domestic chaos including the negative effect of economic reforms. Not to mention, those international sharks are waiting to strike them and bleed them dry if they lose, twenty thousand ton of golds alone and their fragile financial sector make them a perfect target. Some time I find it strange why they were so eager for war, without considering the outcome and their weakness. The American will sure cheer Indian for war cause they are only gainer in the war between China and India (foreign investment flow). Even they would support Indian in war with China, they would still bleed Indian dry like they did to UK in WW2.

India blinks first. It's a right choice. Since the moment of challenging China, India was like haunted. All kinds of bad things came one after another. Bank strike, poor economy performance, flood, train derailment, terrible baby medical accident, riot. All happened in the 3 months. Can you believe it?

Is China blessed by God on the other hand?

Indian army retreat to their Border side, Road Construction and Chinese Army Patrol will keep going like before in Donglang/Doklam area.

Congrats for both countries.
I think Indian had made a bad move here, it is not only China will keep building road to Bhutan, it also gives China the reason to fully militarize Tibet. The back down from India costs them a reputation on South Asia, Nepal and Bhutan in the future will further break away from India since China has much better financial mean. They really made a bad move.

One of Sun Tzu's most well known teachings is that the greatest victory in war is one attained without fighting.

"不战而屈人之兵"

imo India’s national banking system is on the verge of collapse and Modi probably knows it. I just hope we won‘t offer any bailout money when he comes to the BRICS summit begging

Their domestic problems would break out just matter of time. Some suspect that Modi used Donglang border standoff to shift the focus of their domestic problem to Chinese "invasion", and unify their people together. But China didn't fall for that and wait patiently.
