Come to think of it, India today is not even unified! The people do not speak the same language, they do not have the same genetic endowment (average IQ's of different ethnic groups range from low 90's to high 70's), and they are of different cultures.

Indians need to go back to their natural state. A couple hundred different tribal groups fighting each other over who's cows are more sacred. That is the natural state of India.

Indians DO speak many different languages, while almost all of Chinese can communicate effectively with each other. Anyone who thinks China is a culturally diverse nation needs to get their head examined. Chinese aren't being mixed with Austronesians, Dravidians, etc. They are 93% one ethnic group, let alone examining how many are of the same race (which would be much higher).
