China accuses US Navy of ‘cognitive warfare’ after ‘unusual’ photo emerges

BIG SLOW CHONKY SHIP, FAST TORPS. Do the math...

Also ever heard of targeted strike? The deck gun doesn't need to destroy a ship to sink just target the vulnerable spots to disable the ship. Then kill 'em with Harpoon or torps.

There was no escort at that moment if the Mustin decided to go full salvo then, the Liaoning would have been at the bottom of the ocean. That shows the level of competence PLAN sailors have if they let their Capital ship unguarded.

Maybe for evasion will be difficult for Liaoning because short distant from Mustin, but Liaoning can do countermeassure one of them like sonic masking and jamming.

Which vulnerable spot of Liaoning you want to target with deck gun?
Still no use; it could take time and thousands of bullet to damage it, while YJ12 will be very fast to destroy Mustin in less than 1 minute :)

Give me evidence of your claim, that Liaoning was not escorted. Please dont bring your past stupid assumption again because you should know that no one will send Carrier into open sea (esp in disputed area with strong enemy presence) without escort, even for newbie and stupid navy, meanwhile photo could have many blankspot:laughcry:

For sure Mustin will be certainly sunk by YJ12 or torpedo from J-15.

Picture don't lie even numerous news site and your government newspaper said there were no escorts near the Liaoning when this picture was taken while it was followed by the mustin. Which also explains the CO relaxed attitude If there was no other ships to handle & if there were escorts it was too far away to provide any assistance if the Mustin decides to sink the CVL.

No ships standing between the Liaoning & the DDG 89 to serve as a shield. This is a straight line of uninterrupted fire any form of countermeasure are useless at this range whether it's soft or hard-kill. Hate to break it to you but the Mustin are not alone (they're part of an STG) considering they're not the like the PLAN that just abandon their carrier to another navy's mercy.

While the US may lost a DDG if they attempt to sink it but china will lose their 1st carrier in this particular encounter. Guess who gets the better deal?

So my point still stand go back to sucking Winnie the pooh's honey jar.

Su Tzu-yun (蘇紫雲), a senior analyst at the Institute for National Defense and Security Research, was cited by CNA as saying the U.S. military released the photo of the "relaxed" monitoring of the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) warship in order to underline the idea that the USN is not concerned about the combat effectiveness of the carrier.

Su pointed out that in carrier battle groups the mothership should have friendly frigates flanking it on either side. However, in this case, there was nothing between the Liaoning and the Mustin, thus exposing the carrier to direct attack.

US uses photo of relaxing captain as 'cognitive warfare' against PLA

The analyst concluded this indicates the combat capabilities of the Liaoning are still limited. He said that the People's Liberation Army (PLA) will need to build up its forces further to be on a par with the USN.

Lu Li-shih (呂禮詩), a former captain of the Navy corvette Xinjiang was cited by SCMP as saying the casual manner in which Briggs and Slye watch the Liaoning shows they "take their PLA counterparts lightly." Lu suggested the photo was staged and is a form of "cognitive warfare" meant to show the U.S. does not consider the PLA to be an "immediate threat."

LOLs. 50 cent slave is always funny :laughcry:

Just show me evidence of your silly claim that liaoning was not escorted, cant you ? I am still waiting [emoji38]

Stop lying, photo dont lie like you but photo cant tell the whole story; the photo is very limited, there must be destroyers behind or in front of Liaoning that this picture cant display due to limitation, including submarines. It is assuming that this photo is real.

You must accept the reality instead of dellusion: either blankspot or psed photo, to explain why the "must be existènt" escorting ships is not displayed ;)

Go back to your dady for more training :laughcry:

Assuming that the photo is real not psed, it only prove that for a while the escorting ships was not in between Liaoning and Mustin. Their posisition could be in front or further behind Liaoning, which could not be captured by photo.

So what?

Incompetency? It seems more like Liaoning take Mustin lightly didn't consider mustin as threat. :enjoy:

Of course!

Su already know that liaoning should have escorts, but you dont [emoji38]

He make right conclusion that the escort was not in between liaoning and mustin, instead of making stupid laughable claim that liaoning was not escorted [emoji23]

Every body know that sailing carrier is escorted ;)

Mustin dont dare to attack. Liaoning took it lightly and over confindence. For the untrained and nervous navy, they will always guard carrier very tightly by keeping destroyer always in between, but Liaoning too confident for being nervous like that.

Everybody knows that Liaoning is not as powerful like USS George Washington.

So nothing special.

It should be humiliation for US, because Liaoning took Mustin lightly by showing its belly to mustin crews :enjoy:

You do not know that.

If I came to your house while the one that you supposed to trust let me in while carrying a gun how do you I'm not going to kill you?

Take the L man. China just got humiliated in this skirmish.

Did Mustin enter Chinese teritorry? Le me check ........

Nope. They met up at SCS:

So sorry, your allegory is wrong. This is the right allegory:

I want to pass my neighbor to scare them, you come to scare me.
I and you pass each other in the public street; I show you my belly (show my middle finger actually), and you dont dare to do anything. I keep passing my neighbor, you failed to prevent me from doing that, and didn't dare to attack me.

So who is humiliated here? :sarcastic:

Not "passing neighbors to scare them ". CN claim all water inside 9 dash line belong to them ( including a part of ID EEZ), Liaoning carrier believe that she is "patrolling " in CN water, but US-EU warships keep passing through the 9 dash line to challenge CN'S claim and CN dare not do anything.

who is humiliated here ?

yes its called freedom of navigation in a area which China claims its theirs

China set up ADIZ few years ago to ensure no one can enter the SSC

guess what everyone is using it and China lost credibility
