You just don't get it, Yangtze river is one of the biggest in the world in terms of discharge and is in a favourable location ( plains and source nearby to the target). But in comparison Yarlung is just a hill stream and its route inside China is longer than in India. One, it is not at all cost effective transferring this small amount of water at the source, secondly in the inhospitable terrain of Tibet you can atmost build one or two channels close to the source of the river. The entire remaining length of the river from Xigaze to Nyingchi would remain untapped and the flow would continue unabated to India. It's our country and we know everything, our scientists did study on this for decades, one suggestion is to follow the Tibet railway, that's the shortest cut.
Now please don't tell us that you are planning to transfer Yarlung's waters to Beijing.
