Children to gather in international festival in US

The International Children's Friendship Festival celebrated with children from 31 different countries in Seattle
WASHINGTON
Children from 31 different countries will participate in the "International Children's Friendship Festival" in the United States hosted by the Turkish American Association of Washington (TACAWA).
The annual festival will start on April 27 in Seattle and children from around the world will perform dances, songs and musical performances in traditional costumes at the festival.
General Coordinator of the festival, Serdar Soysal, told the Anadolu Agency that the state of Washington marked "International Children's Day" on April 23, the day Turkey celebrates as the Children's Festival, which was gifted to Turkish children by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, founder of the Republic of Turkey, to mark the opening of the Assembly. The festival in Turkey has also been celebrated internationally since 1979.
Soysal said the festival in Seattle owned the title of the biggest children's festival of the city. The organizers of the event expect that more than 5,000 visitors this year.
