Funny how the media decries the strict birth control in China now are concerned about kids getting it on due to the ease on restriction.

A view is a geographical accident. I know no country has raised so many millions out of poverty as quickly as China has and it deserves full credit for the same. It just struck me because I've only seen the glitzy bit of China - Shanghai - in the media.

I always was under the assumption that the Chinese authorities were very strict about their rules. Also, looking at the pictures - rural China looks a lot like rural India.

Do the authorities turn a blind eye?
