He ain't an angel, but he is not being supported by the army.

Right now, the Army is "tolerating" certain measures simply because it is tactically advantageous for the time being. Those who think that there is any substantive change will certainly be disappointed - yet again.

Ironically, the fact that all sides, from the military to the civilians, accuse the CJ of bias against them and for the other side is one of the best indicators that he is doing something right. Again, he is not perfect but, even more than the executive branch, I am strongly of the opinion that we must respect the sanctity of the judicial branch.

You know how ballistic people get in the US about the SCOTUS judges. However, they understand that the system and institutions must be respected, even if you disagree with specific judges.

Sanctity does not confer immunity from criticism, and unbiased evaluation of performance and outcomes.
