What's new

Check out this sizzling number 'Aadat' featuring Humaima Malick from upcoming film #Arth.

Male version of IMAN Hazari, sun meri baat...oh my bad, you probably don’t even speak or understand Urdu  wada aya “kaptaan” Pakistani...LPC bc.

Your dumbass story doesn’t fly for two facts...

indian Star plus dramas used to DOMINATE Pakistani screens with all their vulgarity, hype, and insanely hinduized culture portrayed.

What happened then? Yes, the free Pakistani drama channels started to produce their own content. They didnt copy indian dramas, their vulgarity, or even storyline model. Pakistani dramas came up with their own storylines, portrayed Pakistani day to day culture, and reflected our Muslim values instead of indian bakwaas.

Result? Within two years, Pakistani drama industry absolutely CRUSHED induan dramas from across the border. Hum Tv absolutely annihilated Star plus..which used to dominate Pakistani TV sets before. Today, Pakistani drama industry has grown with literally HUNDREDS of dramas being produced every year and the Pakistani audience have watched these serials with sustained interest.

When it comes to movies..instead of producing its own quality, original content...reflecting our culture and day to day life...Pakistani movie industry has opted to take the short cut with cheap item numbers, Western mini dresses and horrific storylines. Result? Our movie industry is still in shambles. Our “top grossing” movies post embarrassing low revenue collections and Pakistani film industry has not spread to masses like our drama industry did.

So what’s the lesson here, you wanna be Pakistani? Yes, just like every other culture on Earth, Pakistanis like to watch what they can relate to in real life on the screen. If you want to become wanna be Bollywood...why would we watch second grade Bollywood when we can just watch real Bollywood across the border?

Pakistani film industry needs to find its own identity. It needs to play on Pakistani tastes and mass culture to get attention from wider masses....just like our drama industry has.

Now gtfo from here and don’t lecture me with your dumb, typical wanna be liberal theories to justify bastardization of our culture and traditions.

You've made some valid points. Cultural relevancy and original concepts are what made Pakistani dramas very successful. Film industry is bound to fail if they just copy and paste Bollywood and Hollywood.

.
Vulgarity rearing its ugly head in Lollywood.
Guess you never watched 90,s Lollywood :D
After liberals got SHAFTED politically in recent protests regard khatam-e-Nabuyat laws (I don’t fully agree with Khadim Rizvi and his crazy views)—they probably will find some solace in watching these “empowered women” (basically randis) going slut-mode on screen :D
Ever heard of the term FALSE EQUIVALENCE?
Oh another liberal hoe..IMAN Hazari..got DESTROYED the first time she came out of her shell and made a video instead of just typing from her Twitter feed. She couldn’t even speak Urdu properly and she wants to change our culture and make Pakistan a secular state? Lmao
She is nothing but a PMLN tout
Westernization of Pakistani film industry is very pathetic and counter productive to our culture.
Your opinion vs revenues by the millions and praise domestically and abroad
Our movies are also giving competition to Indian films at home and abroad

We had some drama like films they all ended up doing poorly at the box office coincidence i think not
People dont pay to see a drama they pay to see a film if certain genres are more popular it means the target audience wants them

It is and its getting international recognition

May be we can show this video to Khadim Rizvi and he might show up to censor board meeting ;)
Please do his ilk will make a Qadri version for it :D

Eh?They are giving a beating to Indian films in the UK and you are saying their revenues are low?Despite the fact that there are not many screens in Pakistan our films and their budgets continue to grow
You must be Bollywoods dream child. By censoring Pakistani film industry you ensure that 200 million Pakistanis will watch Bollywood "randi" movies and contribute to Indian economy through sales and get Indianized. And encourage our actor/actresss to do "randi" in Bollywood.
No problem with sending crores to India by screening anti Pakistan films inside Pakistan
Just out of curiosity, Is Arth an Urdu word?
Shaan Shahid,s remake of Indian film Arth i doubt it will be a commercial success as the marketing has been below par

If its bound to fail why do we have multiple films earning more than 10 crore every year despite low number of screens?

People like to see new ideas and original plots.
It looks better than Verna but it lacks the same marketing strategy
Proper marketing can make or break your film i mean just look at Yalghaar it was the biggest flop ever in history of Pakistani cinema all because of bad marketing and a cheesy film Mehrun Nisa did better

You don't need to tell me. I work in Marketing.

Such crap "music".
I'm not against modern music, but this and a lot of Bollywood songs can be made by an expert in a few hours punching on a computer.

No need of instruments and the singers are autotuned to the extreme.
