Sir it will be more expensive then that because you will need 24 hrs drones everywhere and in case of large attack and enemy is scattered this drone will not be effective.
I think the Best/Cost Effective/efficient Solution will be Drones not Kamakazi but 1~2 small drones 24hrs active for each post/fort and 1 tactical drone 24hrs active for multiple fort/post ) patrolling few KM in enemy territory once enemy is detected we can direct all firepower toward it before enemy could come close.
There is no point of fencing the border without forts which were made previously & it is the best solution. Also it is important for PA to use armed drones.
Aerostat Balloons can serve many kilometers of border; fitted with modern cameras, they can not only watch the border but look across it. Second is shaping the terrain to detect infiltration will have the best long term results. Cutting down terrain obstacles that obscure seeing passage, and build new obstacles to slow down movement, will allow the aerostat to pick up the movement, and replay it to border guards that can move in a safe way to capture or engage those crossing. Sometimes it is just shepherds following their animals, or children playing nearby. Always best to identify from a distance with technology, and then move to investigate if it looks safe to do so. We should use technology to keep our personnel safe, and prevent harm to innocent civilians. ATVs for reaching areas quickly can help.
