Al Jazeera isn't British, neither is the Guardian or Reuters. Also when I posted this it was thread it way past 4 hours into the incident and there wasn't even a slightest mention about it in American media. Due to social media pressure they did that.

I believe you mean the televised media, it doesn't make it much on there. On internet it will. And yes social media usually is first to spread news. I don't take televised media with any seriousness.
