If it takes you more than 4 days to adjust to a different traffic flow then the problem could be identified by an IQ test.

Toyota has the problem nailed down.. most of their sub-compacts have a common body ,axle.. everything.. just the steering assembly and dash come different(that too is not done in many models).
Also.,. left hand drive is the wrong side of the road.. period

I like new experiment.
Yes we should change the traffic lanes. Enjoy taste yar. Right hand driving is boring now. :drag:

Almost every modern car maker make cars in the similiar way as toyota. Eg: tata indica vista. Even the odometer is in the centre,so the for export, just the shifting of wheel is enough.
The problem is with existing cars and heavy vehicles

Can anyone point out how many vehicles excluding 2-3 wheelers still operating on roads of Pakistan and what would the cost to change the direction of driver's seat. ;)

You have many tourists with cars that goes to England with their standard steer on left. Its not impossible. It would take about 20 years to change the whole situation.

Enzo with steer on left in England:

From the pics i have seen in this forum,if any one ever attempts to do it,take my word, its gonna be a massive task and too much risky.

Why fix it its not broke?

Anyways you have the example of Sweden before you. You are free to folow it.

From wikipedia

In 1955 a referendum was held on the issue, resulting in an 82.9%-to-15.5% vote against a change to driving on the right. Nevertheless, in 1963 the Swedish parliament passed legislation ordering the switch to right-hand traffic. The changeover took place at 5am on Sunday, 3 September 1967, which was known in Swedish as Dagen H (H-Day), the 'H' being for Högertrafik or right traffic.
Since Swedish cars were LHD, experts had suggested that changing to driving on the right would be safer, because drivers would have a better view of the road ahead. The accident rate dropped sharply after the change[119] However, the accident rate soon rose back to near its original level.[27] The speed limits were temporarily lowered.

That is the foolish Idea that I have ever heard in recent times. why would you change the parctice that you are familiar with.
what is the advantage that you think this change that you are proposing is going to bring.
There is more cons than pros in your idea.
and your idea of changing the driving wheel to the other side is not so simple as you say to over a million cars and 4 wheelers that already on the road.

Well Sweden done it in 1955..but yes its a small country.

what changes needs to be done for two wheelers for lane switch?

in India, it is now not Possible. had We gone for LHD before 1990s(when Automobile revolution started), it may be practical. however, I grew up seeing WW-II era Willys/Ford Jeeps with LHD(and specifically written "Left Hand Drive Vehicle") because of living near the Hills.

BTW, what is the benefit? benefit may be that We will get Car models as it is Originally designed. In India, many Foreign brands have exhaust pipe in the wrong side, same with fuel inlet because of the original LHD design changed.

I dont like it too. But changing the traffic lanes for a country like Pakistan with hundred of millions of people and millions of cars doesnt make sense just becaue its something british. THe only country that changed traffic lanes was a african country that wanted to distinguish itself from its former german colonial masters. Their reasin was that it would help their economy ...
