Chandrajan-2 (Indian Moon Landing)

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is planning 2nd moon mission Chandrayaan-2 in 2010-2011.
Chandrayaan-2 will consist of the spacecraft and a landing platform with the moon rover.
The rover would move on wheels on the lunar surface, pick up samples of soil or rocks, do a chemical analysis and send the data to the spacecraft orbiting above.
The rover will weigh between 30 kg and 100 kg, depending on whether it is to do a semi-hard landing or soft landing. The rover will have an operating life-span of a month. It will run predominantly on solar power.

Ok what is your views? Is it worthile for a developing country like India to spend crores in such scientific adventures? Isnt it better to leave it for developed countries who have surplus amount to spend on such adventures.

Mate, there isn't anything wrong with posting this news. Only that it is a wrong place to post. This is a 'Pakistani Defence Forum' and as a member one has to respect the sentiments of majority members here. Most of the Indian members here post such news in their respective threads which are approved by the moderators(this is my understanding). There is already a thread open on 'Indian Space Capability', you can post this news there. Starting another thread to discuss an age old news can be seen as an attempt to overwhelm Pakistani members.

There is nothing wrong with the news and Pakistani sentiments really aren't all that frail. Saber had posted an inappropriate title and so it was just edited to reflect what the news is.
