And nothing happened. No trade was stopped while waiting for an apology.

The only reason Pakistan can do this to Afghanistan is because they are weak right now. There will come a time when they will not be weak.

Last time Afghanistan was not weak they ruled parts of today's Bharat.

Indians have burned Pakistani flags tons of times, bombed their entire areas with arty during peacetime... and Pakistan never dared to close the border for trade or ask for apologies.

Pakistan and India barely trade; and yes - those border routes where trade occurs, are usually closed during times of tension.

Also, i'm pretty sure - if an angry mob climbs over a fence and begin attacking your border guards with stones and other projectiles; your trigger-happy immoral border guards would immediately open fire.

Not only did these animals do that, but Afghan forces also participated in the desecration of the flag and refused to control the mob.

Its just because Pakistan thinks that Afghanistan has no alternative that they are bullying Afghanistan. Look forward to the day that Afghanistan gives it back to Pakistan.

Afghanistan was the only country to vote against the admission of Pakistan into the UN.

Afghanistan openly supported separatist groups such as Baloch rebels, supported terrorist groups such as the Al-Zulfiqar and fueled tribal wars.

As soon as Pakistan was made they launched dozens of incursions that continued until the Taliban took control. This included the attempted-invasion of Bajaur in 1961.

Shortly after they began a mass-mobilization that was only scattered after Pakistan began a preemptive bombardment.

Afghans have ransacked and mobbed Pakistani embassies and consulates many times.

I can go on and on, but despite all this;
Pakistan has kept it's cool, sent thousands of aid workers, took in millions of Afghan refugees, provide thousands of scholarships, supported Afghanistan in the international stage, and so on...

So this is basically us giving back to Afghanistan.

It is foolishness on our part to believe that Afghanistan is going to change its behavior towards Pakistan. Just waiting for the next incident to happen before the scene turns ugly and the border is closed. It is inevitable and history proves my argument.

It is only a matter of time before the scene turns really ugly on the streets of Pakistan. The anger is enormous. There is a limit to our patience.
