Karachi Port is 55% utilized and port Quaim is 45% utilized... so with the kind of capacity Gwadar is planned for .. it might remain 60% or more under-utilized..

400 million tonnes ? one private port company of India alone has 332 MMTPA (String of 10 small and Medium ports) capacity and Gawadar with 4 Berths now and 9 berths later will have 400 MMTPA capacity. I am amazed.

When Pakistanis talk of Gwadar port.. they include yet to be executed so called 100 berths to be built by 2045..

Dubai (Jebel Ali and Port Rashid) which Gwadar is supposed to be threatening commercially has barely 102 berths. Imagine that, I cannot but help it fathom that the seer ignorance here has to be of some "God" level, you cannot make and type such sh*t up, even if one is paid to.

Pakistani ports are so busy that sometime ships have to wait for days to find a berth to unload cargo so dont pull madeup facts out of your arse. There are plans to expand current capacity and upgrade port facilities on line of gawadar port.

Read this: Presently about 1600 ships are visiting Karachi Port annually and the berth occupancy is about 45%, which shows that there is enough capacity in the port to handle more cargo.

No one can bypass Pak. If the sole super power can not...then the illegal indian empire will NEVER.

It wasn't puppy love.

Pure strategic interests. Iran is a stable country and is in the interests of US to normalise ties.

Once the sanctions are fully removed, US will simply bypass you like it never knew you.

Iranians won't mind helping US withdraw from Afghanistan completely as it will only benefit them in regional political influence.

As for we will "NEVER", it is about geography. Completing the port project means geographically we don't need you any more.

Look at the bright side: you won't be bothered by either of us for asking you a passage and we both and Iranians will also be happy.
