Can some one tell me this
5 systems
6000 missiles
Now what i have read is this
Only 1 system comprising up to eight divisions (battalions) can control up to 72 launchers, with a maximum of 384 missiles
One division of the C-400 can include about six launchers, and the means of location, guidance and control.

Main line
Numbre de missile par rampe meaning Missile number per ramp where 384 is written as total
Now 6000 missiles
Assuming all missiles are reloaded so each system carries 384+384 = 768
So 6000 missiles divided by 768 = 7.65 systems
Even if make it 384+384+384 = =1152 then 6000/1152 = 5.2 systems
So unless someone tells me we are buying just 5 systems with 1x firing and 2x reloading ability looks a bit difficult
1x firing and 1x reload = 7+ systems
1X firing and 0.5 X Long Ranged SAMs reloading = 384+192 = 576 implying 6000/576 = 10.42 systems
(Short ranged SAMs will be used only when LR SAMs are exhausted and in process of reload implying targets breaching the first tier 400km or even second trier 250 km breached and now 120kms SAM to engage - a scenario for saturation attack or large number of airspace hostiles infringement)
I think article is somewhat incomplete. Feel some key infor missing...
@vostok
Sir, Can you help us with some information. If 6000 Missiles are ordered, Can you help us define how many systems and approximate batallions comprising of or say per system missile numbers + reload to understand the number of systems India is procuring...
You have solved your own riddle.
40,000 Crores is 6 Billion for 5 Systems with 8 Regiments each.
Each System will contain 384+384+384 i.e Two sets of reload in Transport and Reloading Vehicle.
That makes is 5.2 systems, with 0.2 system for tests and training.
Each S400 system will cost 1.2 Billion $.
So each missile will cost 1 million $.
Pinaka deal is for 2.1 Billion $. for 6 Regiment. Each Regiment with 3 batteries and each Battery with 72 Missiles along with 72 missiles in Reloaders and 72 missiles in replenishment vehicles. i.e. 72+72+72 = 216 Missiles.
So 6 Regiments have 216 x 3x 6 = 3888 Missiles. i.e. 0.3 million $ per missile
