Because that's what makes their article look even prettier. The Pakistani news websites aren't always reliable.

Here's an article from a non-pakistani news website:

Celebrations in Indian Kashmir after Pakistan win

SRINAGAR, India (AFP) — Residents in Indian-ruled Kashmir Sunday fired crackers in the region's main city after Pakistan beat Sri Lanka to win the World Twenty20 championship, witnesses said.

Srinagar -- the Kashmiri summer capital -- erupted in celebration after Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by eight wickets and as scores of Kashmiri youth poured on to the streets and lit firecrackers.

The youths also chanted pro-Pakistan and pro-freedom slogans as Indian paramilitary troops stayed in their bunkers, witnesses said.

Thousands of Kashmiris, including women and children, were glued to their televisions sets to watch the tense final.

"It is a great victory and one day I hope we will merge with Pakistan," said a die-hard Pakistani cricket fan, Mohammed Yaseen.

Residents in Muslim-majority Kashmir valley traditionally support Pakistan in sports events.

Indian Kashmir is in the grip of a nearly 20-year insurgency that has so far claimed more than 47,000 lives by an official count.

Islamabad denies Indian allegations that it funds and arms the insurgency. Most militant groups want Indian-ruled Kashmir to merge with Pakistan, and a few want the region to become independent.

Omar please man ...do check out the article before you post it. It is practically a replica of the DAWN news article, Hell it seems that Moh Yaseen has been quoted in both article; Seems like a man planted to give quotes.

A rubbish state propaganda as far as India is considered. Propoganda news such as this happens on both sides of the border , for the sake of creating a illusion for yourself, if you want to believe it then do so...but its plain rubbish. Next thing we might know is Indian wins WI tour and balluchistan is celebrating....so...

Second thing, even though many members might here disagree, but Indian papers would have reported this news. There is no censorship. In the past Anti national news has been covered and reported annoying government.

Thanks it has not been my intention to counter this just because i am a indian but also because this is BS news and people out here know better than to believe it.

Omar1984, My point was that in terms of attaching pictures with the articles, our websites aren't reliable. I wasn't talking about the contents of the article.

You know, I try. I really, really do try to stay out of the sewage hole. Ask any sensible Indian on the forum, I really, really do try to stay civil. But guys like you really are determined to drag me in there. Comparing Kashmir to Balochistan is a favourite past-time of Indian nationalists, Hindu-hardliners and the honorary members of the "Union of the Biggest Idiots of the World" alike. Common sense seems determined to stay clear of their already overflowing heads. And now I feel bad for even replying.

Dignifying your pathetic statements with a counter-argument will be like entering the gutter to wrestle a ra t. The ra t might die, but I'll be the one covered in sh*t and disease at the end of the day. Therefore, I must avoid it, even if every singly ounce of blood in my body just wants to enter the digital domain, enter your house through the Internet Protocol, and then slap you until something in your head falls into place and you decide to begin using it in a way God meant it to be used.

Moving on. This news is not surprising at all, even to my Indian friends from university. There is a reason why the streets of Srinagar remain deserted on August 15th, and a curfew is imposed on August 14th. There is also a reason why ever single Kashmiri I have ever met in my life seems to be a huge fan of the Pakistani Cricket team. Finally, there is a reason why every time India beats Pakistan in Cricket, there is a day moaning in Srinagar, and when Pakistan wins, there are celebrations and clashes with the BSF. In fact, they take Pakistan Cricket more seriously in Occupied Kashmir than we do in the rest of Pakistan. To them, its a way showing up the oppressors.

And last but not least. Great Victory. Alhamdulillah. Pakistan Zindabad. I dedicate this victory to the people of Pakistan, in particular those who have vacated their homes so that we can rid our collective-home of disease. I also dedicate it to every single person who has been affected by terrorism in Pakistan and around the World (this includes India) And lastly, I dedicate this vidtory to the men of the Armed Forces of Pakistan/

That's because they ARE in Lahore or any other place in Pakistan. Look at the background ... 'Illusions' is a Pakistani fashion and decoration store and have branches all across Pakistan, Only. I thought you lived in Pakistan ... Do you?

Good eye mate.

Apologies if by the mere name of baluchistan my entire comments turned crap. I was using reference so that people out here can better relate to and did not mean to offend anyone. I realize what it means when someone says something about your own country. I take back my words and once again did not mean to offend anyone. Peace.

I can choose to belive every word that you have written but then its not correct. Yes there have been instances where anti indian sentiments have run high and this is accepted fact, infact i have witnessed it. But, there is no celebration in srinagar when Pakistan beats India every time in cricket, streets are not deserted on Aug 15th (its a pretty silly statement - why would the streets be deserted) however on 14th Aug nights & day it is deserted for fear of terrorists activities and army operations; Threat perceptions are considerably higher on 14th Aug and 25th Jan. Again as i said you are saying what has been presented before you from Ages as a part of state propoganda and changing that is very much not possible. And lastly i dont have any links for what i have written but i was in Kashmir (Srinagar) for 5 years , Dad's posting (am not a kashmiri) ; So i do have a fair bit of idea whats correct and whats not.

Congratulations ...Afridi is the man.

DAWN.COM | Cricket | Celebrations in Srinagar after Pakistan win

Now that you conveniently changed the picture, I have bad news for you again. That's still not Srinagar. See those white, red and green flags? That's the flag of MQM. Pictures are from Karachi.

As I said, picture attachments from our news websites aren't always reliable.

Though I would really want to see a real picture from Srinagar of the celebrations. Now that'd be interesting and quite a treat ;)

.
Kashmiris are Pakistanis also. The "K" in PAKISTANI was meant for Kashmiris, they have every right to celebrate.

Pakistanis everywhere in the world are celebrating today, it doesn't matter where you are in the world today...if you are Pakistani you are very happy today.

:pakistan:

Hey just out of curiosity.. does each word in pakistan denotes a place??? stan is place i know. but what is P&A&I ???
