My *** burning Pakistani counterpart, do not cry. Gurkhas are Indian as well. Nepali Gurkhas have there own regiment, not lowly rubbish Pakjabi fighter.

Gurkhas aren't the only want to be used as mercenaries, there are records of foreign mercenaries fighting in the armies of Roman empires. Recently French foreign legion comes to mind which is full of usually hardcore criminals from USA, UK and Eastern European countries.

I admire both the French Foreign Legionnaires & the Gurkhas for their fighting prowess but I can't for the life of me understand what drives a person to fight for a country not his own especially when no discernable idealism is involved here ?

See Nepal and India are just like Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Anyone can go Nepal to India and from India to Nepal(officially).
As for your question of Gurkhas joining Indian army,they do it for money,Nepal is extremely poor country.

I admire both the French Foreign Legionnaires & the Gurkhas for their fighting prowess but I can't for the life of me understand what drives a person to fight for a country not his own especially when no discernable idealism is involved here ?

Most of the Gurkhas in Indian army are Indian Gurkhas from the North Bengal( Gurkha dominated) region.

No I don't think this because of some sense of Brotherhood because the Gurkhas are joining the British Army too & from what I gather the Security Apparatus of a handful of other countries as well !

We are cricket lover n appreciate good cricket no matter of which team which player but it hurts to see some people are celebrating pak win that too against India....... This is not the first time I have seen there are Indian Pakistani citizens who calls Pakistani players name with full respect like bhaijaan but that missing in case of Indian cricketers........
During wotld cup in SA in which sachin scored 98 runs n India won that match I had bet with one of my gujrati Muslim friend whose hidden brotherhood came out that day n he was praying for pak win on that Friday ...... he was labelled Pakistani openly since that day ....... such people bring a question mark on patriotism of entire community ......

So this is all about incapability of accepting the truth and not to forget the intolerance of differences of opinion/ thinking? How is the patriotism questioned based on a game?

@SarthakGanguly is a Kashmiri Hindu who is in a better place to tell you than me.
Also I don't know if you know but Shia Kashmiris where the ones to raise the alarm about Pakistani incursions. They even mourn the passing of soldiers that have died. Shia Kashmiris are with India and that is fact.
