Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA), following the conclusion of its three-day, biannual auction event on Thursday, generated approximately PKR 3.66 billion through the sale of a total of 30 residential and commercial plots – according to news sources.

The department conducted the auction in its efforts to generate funds for the development of the stalled sectors in the capital city. On the final day of the event, held at the Jinnah Convention Centre, the CDA sold two plots at a combined value of PKR 148 million. The department had put up as many 46 commercial plots for sale.
Similarly, it secured PKR 690 million through the sale of 20 residential plots. The auction proceedings were supervised by a high-level committee.

Meanwhile, the civic agency has announced its decision to exclude 14 commercial plots of different categories in its efforts to maintain the planning parameters as communicated in its master plan report draft – currently awaiting the executive’s approval. The excluded properties included three plots situated in the Blue Area of the capital.
