Yesterday a kitten wandered into my building to beat the blazing heat. I allowed her to stay there and brought it some water and a box. It stayed for a day, someone else fed it (a banana? seriously?), and it wandered up and down the floors, sitting in front of the doors to get cool air from running desert coolers/air conditioners. As expected, the cat was making a mess and the building's caretaker dislocated his shoulder in an accident last night, so no one was there to clean up. I was asked to take the cat out and drop it somewhere else, safe. Took me about 15 minutes, with 5-6 running ups and downs on the pile of stairs of 2 floors when I finally caught the cat, on the second floor. Was bringing it down, when on the last stairs of ground floor the cat swung swiftly (as if it knew what was coming next) and but my hand quite hardly, wouldn't let go. Very stubborn, took several minutes for the bleeding to stop.
