Honestly , I am getting confused now .

People are saying don't give Milk to cats and then there are people who say Our cat has been drinking milk for like years . I have been feeding Milk to my feral cat and her kitten for months and It seems they like it and I can see shine on their skin .

Don't feed Fat and bones but other say they are fine with Fat , bones and Meat .

Don't feed dough but Feral Cat in my house eats Chappati made of dough . It even eats rice that is kept for ancestors .

I was planning to buy cat food and then I read people saying wiskas dry food is bad . They say don't feed eggs to cat but my feral cat ate the fried egg >_<

Tomorrow I am going to buy cat food and I am so much pissed at what I have read this whole day .

Things on my list :

Wiskas ( Macreal , sardine , tuna , chicken ) , WisKas Canned , Wiskas Dry


But some people said their cat died and poisoned from eating wiskas food >_<

If you have any Vietnamese, Korean or Chinese neighbors , give your cat to them.

They know how to look after cars very well...I think they use soy sauce and rice vinegar for health.

just dont give her that cat food junk its not good
if she drinks milk and eats meat its better
once they eat that cat food they get addicted
i had a persian in start i used to give her cat food
later when i went for check up the vet told me to stop feeding her cat food instead give her milk and red meat
it was really hard for me to stop her from that cat food

I do feel that this business of feeding our pets organic, beautifully cooked foods when so many children don't have enough to eat is getting out of hand.

Why should the cat be allowed to eat choice pieces of the sheep or cow? . They are all animals created by God and with equal right to life surely.

Cats do not have sweet taste receptors in their tounge.

Give them protein rich diet , that would be fine. e.g. Milk,eggs and meat ...

You are assuming that it is worse to eat one animal rather than an other.

Human beings need animal protein for optimum health whether it come from cows pigs cats or rats, fish or worms

The decision that it is not Ok to eat pigs or cats or cows or snakes is cultural and has no scientific basis.

As far as I am concerned as long as you don't eat other human beings it's all OK !

You dont eat domesticated cats, its just backward.

Human beings have the mental faculty to choose what they eat for optimal health. Eating your neighbours cat is reason enough to be executed in my opinion. If my neighbour ate my cat I would make his life hell.

Eating your neighbours cat is reason enough to be executed in my opinion..

But the life of a human is worth more than that of a cat...due to our level of awareness and what we are capable of.

The life of a goat (which we eat) is worth as much as that of a cat...both having similar Levels of understanding and awareness (similar to that of a human three year old)

Yet we happily slaughter goats to feed cats. If that is not cultural conditioning, I don't know what is.

If you have extra money than do it. Otherwise feral cats do not depend on anyone. They catch mouses in between.

First thing first, do not ever feed your cat whiska or any supermarket brand cat food, those food are hard to digest, and they have a lot more wastage than premium brand.

I don't know what kind of cat food you have in India, but you will do good with some above the quality brand (like iams) and also some super brand like royal canin and hills. If you cannot premium brand, I would suggest you go gourmet instead of feeding them supermarket food. I had two cat that caught FLUTDS by eating whiska and one cat got IBS from eating Friskie (another supermarket brand) I have had cat that actually died from eating cheap cat food...and been told supermarket brand cat food have heavy calcium which build up crystal in their urine and it also damage your cat's kidney.

Also, if you feed your cat cat food, it's important to have it mixed with dry and wet food together instead of just one. Usually doing dry and wet will get your cat more balance diet and will not caught diabetes that easy.

However, if you are on a budget and cannot afford premium cat food, then you can always go gourmet.

Find out what your cat like to eat (Fish, Chicket, Pork, Beef), once you know what your cat will eat, say your cat like fish, then you go get a raw fish, steam it to half to almost done (So you left the juice in) and then you serve them with rice (not a lot) and some veggie, it's fineifyour cat don't like rice and veggie, butif that do, you will need to get wet food that have veggin in it and mix it with the gourmet meat you made.

If you have money, I strongly recommend either Hills or Royal Canin.

For me, I feed my cat a brand called Optimum Cat food (the most expensive food in supermarket, but they have less calcium) and Innova Cat food (premium brand), Some time I do cook them gourmet meal and treat them with Hills Balance Diet brand wet food. My cats love them
