Carla Bruni'a prostitute', claims Iranian media

can somebody post the original persian text? as sometimes we have seen the wrong translations in case of iran.

They could have shown shown some responsibility and mutual respect.if the media dose not like what she says or do then they can criticise her but in decent language..Incidents like this only will harm iran's international image.

Yes that is a possibility.
i don't think any responsible journalist will use such abusive language.
once this type of incident happened with ' shashi taroor ' indian MP. HE USED ''CATTLE CLASS '' term for the economy class in flight..but when transilated to native language it looked like abusive language for economy class where commen man travels..

all heads of state should be accorded due respect....as per international norms....
As per International norms, States should also respect the religious sentiments of others but when they are sidelined for lame excuses like "Freedom of expression" then i highly doubt if others will try to observe these protocols of international relations

Protest by French Embassy:
" The state would like to protest the Iranian accusation that Mrs Sarkosy is a prostitute in the strongest possible language. Miss Bruni is a very respectable slut and not a prostitute as claimed by the Iranian Media"

The revelation in a new book on Carla Bruni reveals her many lovers and her statement that monogamy bores her. This lifestyle may appear to be scandalous in conservative religious society. The prostitute receives money in return but Carla may have gained publicity and gifts. I think Carla Bruni did right thing by protesting stoning death of a woman in Iran while Kayhan newspapers also has the right to publish these accusation as freedom of press.

'Robust': A new book about the life and relationships of French First Lady Carla Bruni is being published in France

A controversial new book examining the 'secret life and lovers' of Carla Bruni is set to be published in France.

Lawyers for President Nicolas Sarkozy's third wife are said to be bracing themselves for the work by investigative writer Besma Lahouri.

It is currently being kept under lock and key at the offices of Flammarion, a Paris publishing house, and not even its title has been revealed.

A publishing source said: 'It's a robust, anything goes book which contains explosive revelations about everything from Carla's relationship with secret lovers to plastic surgeons.

'The principal story is about a fast-living adventuress with an obsession with wealth and fame.

'Nobody from Carla's camp has assisted with anything – this is a proper unbiased investigation into a world famous former model, pop singer and first lady.'

Mr Lahouri, who made his name with a biography of French footballer Zinedine Zidane, is currently in hiding and security guards are said to be guarding his work, which comes out in mid-September.

It could not come at a worse time for Miss Bruni, who is currently reeling from Iranian accusations that she is a 'prostitute' who 'deserves to die' for supporting an Iranian woman sentenced to death by stoning for adultery.

In a chilling editorial, the ultra-conservative Kayhan newspaper said Miss Bruni should not have signed an open letter of protest about Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, the 43-year-old mother-of-two who faces the death penalty in Tehran.

Miss Bruni infamously declared that 'monogamy bores me' just before marrying Mr Sarkozy's two years ago.

She has had high profile affairs with a string of celebrities including English rock stars Mick Jagger and Eric Clapton.

Branding the Iranian insults against Miss Bruni 'unacceptable', France's foreign affairs spokesman Bernard Valero said: 'We're making this message known by normal diplomatic channels.'

An Elysee Palace source said any attacks on Miss Bruni, including ones in biographies, would be viewed 'very seriously'.

A spokesman for Flammarion said the new Carla biography, one of at least two being published before Christmas, is 'an investigation without cooperation, and without bias'.

He said the publisher's lawyers had been involved in its production in readiness for 'any legal action'.

You're a pretty sad person to go looking for tabloid articles on Carla Bruni in some weird attempt to try and validate Kayhan newspaper's slander of her. Kayhan's slandering of Carla Bruni is shameful and is deeply embarrassing for us Iranians, including for the Islamic regime which has had to issue a public statement against the newspaper and its unprofessional behaviour.

And here you are trying to support their uncivilized behaviour for who knows what reasons. Speaks volumes about what kind of person you must be.

Is the above about the case where an Iranian cleric figuratively stated that immodesty causes 'earth quakes' (zalzele) within one's family? If not, then I do not know what you are referring to. By the way, an earthquake is not a meteorological anomaly, simply because it isn't a meteorological phenomenon.

I feel sorry that you can evidently understand Persian better than I can and are more knowledgeable about the statements and thoughts of Iranian clerics than me.
Dude, I think the guy's talking about storms about met anomaly and stuff and earthquakes as separate. Come on, everyone knows this.

BTW this is really bad to insult the first lady of another country. This degrades your country's media and its reputation.

Anybody thinks MEMRI TV did the translations ? MEMRI did the infamous "wipe out israel" translation. Its a joint run by couple of ex-Israeli inteligence guys.

I am not denying that the release of such a statement is embarassing and an insult, not just to her, but to Iran and her people. The fact that the government had to release and official statement to put it down speaks volumes about how they felt about it.

She's gorgeous and this is what I love about France... No one gives a crap about a persons Private matter... If the Head of state is dating a model big fudging deal, it doesn't represent what one is capable of doing.

Why should it matter to the people what a person does or doesn't do in his/her private life, as long as it doesn't affect a persons governing skills its no ones business...

And as always you have cheap Mullah's making derogatory remarks about a beautiful woman, what else can you expect from these low lifes. Mullahs are a disgrace to a civilized society who treat women as 5th class citizens
