well the terrorists are no doubt well trained in guerilla warfare. secondly they are totally brain washed(their foot soldiers) and they think they are doing jihad. thirdly they are few in numbers as compare to army and in plain clothes. they have the advantage of observing the army movements while hiding. we dont have and cant have 24/ surveillance of the entire area. so sometimes it becomes easier for them to ambush our soldiers while they are on any search operation.

Surveillance on Indian activities will have to be stepped up in Afghanistan. India will not be allowed transit trade through Pakistan to Afghanistan for this very reason. Not only does it undermine Pakistan economically, but its a major security risk.

Yes the terrorists are well trained by Indian and Israeli armies in training camps in Afghanistan and other countries.
