Candidates for Mig-21 replacement in Vietnam

Except engine every thing will be manufactured in India (even engine under ToT for MK2)

I think you are last who talk about manufacturing capability (cant produce engine, radar, complete airframe) ... We did it for MIG21, doing for MKIs and will do for Rafeal, FGFA, LCA.

* Engine
* Avionics
* Radar
* Ejection Seats
* WVRAAMs
* BVRAAMs
* PGMs
* IFR probe

Are NOT Indian made, and you call it an Indian fighter?, you wont be able to export it because of so many reasons and strings attached to it.

Engine : Even china is dependent on Russia for any of their fighter and let forger about Pakistan (you can never manufacture it by your own not even under ToT)
Aviation are mainly Indian made.
Radar : with Israeli help but will built in India for sure.

All testing and development of LCA happened in India that`s why its called Indian plane unlike JF17 all its prototype still stationed in China, they sell you completed fighter.

You have so many JF17 but still they tested their new carrier killer missiles (which one you just bought) on their testing planes in China .. you know why ????

WS-13 would be ready in 3-4 years for production. PLAAF has fielded its own WS-10A engine already.

First correct, your spelling. I am guessing you mean "Avionics" and they are NOT Indian made. LCA Avionics are made by Israel and they haven't provided TOT.

What 8 radars ? You have no clue, what you are talking about. Recently US forces the Elta Israel to NOT provide AESA tech to HAL.

Designed by french carrying mostly foreign equipment, and armament tested by IAF pilots makes it Indian, that's the best analogy ever.

that`s why its called Indian plane

Its anything but.

That is why we don't call it an "ingenious" Pakistani fighter but a "co production".

We, have 3 squadrons ready and CM-400AKG HAS been TESTED and is now OPERATIONAL, which means you are clueless!

Seriously talking, we have to money right now to replace the MIGs. Unless we discover large oil and gas resources in our EEZ waters. Every single dollar we got is spent to reduce the poverty and devevop the economy in Vietnam.

Maybe in some years in the future we can buy more advanced Russian jet fighters.

Vietnam just bought 18 SU-30K, are being returned by India in 2003. These jets are being up grading in the factory in Belarus, Russia. The cost per Jet is 50 to 60 millions dollars, Vietnam military spent last year was 5.2 billions dollars accordance with US reported.

Gripen is not for sale to any country with disputes [hindustan was an exception].

The only choice vietnam has is a slow phase out of mig-21 and induction of su-27/su-30 in good numbers over the next 15+ Years. I highly doubt vietman would maintain the 144 number to number replacement but the number could end up to 4 squadrons over the 15+ Years period.

Except engines``and radars, and FBW systems, and weapons, and avionics, and etc```everything will be 'manufactured' in India

and you did for Mig-21 therefore IA holding the world record of life time crashing 'tests' and no you did not manufacture MKI, its a classic spone-feed assembly assisted by russians with all direct imported russian parts

india's primitive industry cannot make anything for modern areo equipments

In 1979 Vietnam invaded Cambodia, China invaded Vietnam to stop Vietnam from taken over Cambodia, at that time Vietnam troops were in Cambodia, China's troops faced against 100,000 Vietnam's females troops. Vietnam closed its boarder and blocked China's supply, China lost that war. Vietnam took over Cambodia. Vietnam won wars against 2 countries.................Vietnam and Russia are sister country, Vietnam's weapons is always update with Russia's weapons.

I do not want to become white, but Vietnam speaks for it self. Vietnam is a 4,000 years old country and it has never lost a war in the history.

Very fond of the Gripen here is a overview of some of the pro's and con's but this is for the NG version.

Light weight*
Excellent sensor fusion and systems
integration
Cooperative targeting capability
Diverse new advanced weaponry
Superlative maneuverability
Low signatures (?)

Final configuration not settled
AESA radar still in development
Sensors, weapons and major subsystems
sourced from third-parties
Availability of most advanced weapons
uncertain
Poor hot and high performance
High flyaway cost
Minimal political benefits

I know that north Vietnam did used China's weapon to take over the south Vietnam in 1975...But after that, China weapons has not been worth a ****, so Vietnam partnership with Russia and using theirs weapons ever since. Now the 2 countries are becomes sister countries.

Vietnam has the most sophisticates air defend systems, such as SP300( Multiple models) and BASTION missiles system that airplanes or fighter jets are not be able to enter into theirs sky with out being shoot down. They also have SP400 deliver to them in year 2013-2014

LCA is still a paper project, how can they pin their hopes on a plane that has yet to move out of prototype phase? They need material solutions with tabulated performance parameters and a good reputation to back them up.

Firstly, LCA is already fielded by IAF, although in lesses number.

Second I said late decision will profit LCA, not in the current time, in future. :azn:
