Cancer patient commits suicide live on Facebook in India

His friends tried calling him but he didn't receive their calls.

A 43-year-old resident of Darjeeling's Siliguri posted a video of him committing suicide live on Facebook on Saturday.

According to a story in the Hindustan Times, Arindam Dutta was suffering from blood cancer and was not interested in living.

Five of his Facebook friends who saw the Facebook live persuaded not to take the extreme step through comments.

They even tried calling him but he did not receive their call.

Before killing himself, he had called his childhood friend, Mohammed Alam, but he couldn't receive his call.

"As I could not take his call, he called up my wife and told her that he is not interested in living," Alam said to Hindustan Times.

Dutta was depressed after he found out he was suffering from blood cancer and his friends had assured him that they will contribute for his treatment.

Pakistan never boasted it has more nukes than India rather it is reports by other think tanks who have no idea but they speculate and I find those reports loads of rubbish. Pakistan started using nuclear medicines earlier than India or any other country in the region ....back in 50's while India was pursuing a nuclear bomb even back then. As far as electricity is concerned, that's the wrong policies of your corrupt govt especially since 1988 and major blames goes to BB as she, very maliciously decided to go for oil based IPP's at extremely high rates and absurd sovereign guaranties that burdened the nation but the whore got her cut and also she shelved the Kalabagh dam's project...She planned the destruction of the economy but the bitch reached the grave by the hands of her husband.

Yes it is sad news. Indian Govt is focused on winning elections with hate campaigns rather than doing progress work. The lower class and public health is suffering badly in India. I think if India is suffering Pakistan should provide access to Indian patients to Shaukat khanum hospital.

Cancer patients in Pakistan are very lucky even luckier that Europe and North America. Thanks to Pakistan Govt and Imran khan. but situation in India is very bad for cancer patients. If you get cancer you will find out how lucky you are to be in Pakistan and get treated.

In India cancer treatment is there but it is very expensive but in Pakistan the treatment is very cheap even the tests are also very cheap. This is a blessing in Pakistan because of Imran Khan.
