Canada to slap no trade curbs

:) it`s not the same at all but speaking of topic, my good friend`s ex-girlfriend is from bangladaise ;) and the other day she was showing us pictures of her place and I have to say it is very similar to Canada even though our media is always focusing on the bad parts. She has left Canada now but has invited us over for the breaks for reunion ;)

Oftopic, do you think Gulshan city is safe area and I know bangladaish is a very safe country but still needed your opinion since this thread is all about Canada-Bangladaish cooperation  Am i wrong in my assertion that Bangladaish is very west oriented country like Singapore but happens to sit in the middle of South asie.

Gulshan is not a city, brother. Its basically a place inside dhaka. It is safe with lots of police check posts. But i'd recommend old DOHS or Baridhara if you are heading for safety. A bit pricier but worth it.

Thanks/merci for the help, ahaha I am looking forward to tropical fun and I especially can't wait to try out the traditional skirt, those look fun to wear on a beach ;) I think we are probably going to end up staying in Westin hotel or some similar type of hotel there as my gramps recommended not to eat vendors food but hotels will most likely carry traditional food( no white dumplings :( )

I can't tell you ;) (secret monsieur) that but @aazidane, does this hotel look decent, we are thinking of booking here because of it's close proximity to Canadien high commission as well as lots of malls and cultural sites like museum in close proximity.

westin is decent, you can also try radisson, i prefer radisson myself...the army golf club is just across the road. No such thing as a 'close proximity' in dhaka. You will be stuck in traffic from 1 hour to 2 hours depending on your luck, fridays are the only half busy days.......we don't count by how many kilo is the destination, but how long it takes to reach the place..

i'd advice you to get a hotel chauffeur or rent a car for your duration of stay for your own safety and mobility.....make sure you get an air conditioned car.

Cox's Bazar, Sundarbon, Rangamati would be better destination than Dhaka, I think, as visiting the tropical area is concerned.

Do not see anything interesting in Dhaka, but just some knowledge about Dhaka.
